I think this year is going to be a toss up between kalida and fort jennings and miller city. all three teams are coming off good years and have a lot of talent and experience coming back. i look forward to those games.

i would have to agree with you.....these teams are really close but i think that fort jennings will overcome these teams because of the seniors and the experience they have......but i cant wait to see who has more heart to win.....best of luck to all the other teams this year...

I think Coach Czubik will lead Kalida to a PCL league title this year.

I'm going to ManU on this one. Ft Jennings and MC will have great seasons, but I think Kalida will come out on top with the pcl title. Kalida just has too much talent and experience for the other teams.

If you've never heard about coach Czubik you must be young and thats OK you'll learn about him soon enough. He's been coaching for almost 20 years now and has ran a very good program for a long time. He is highly respected by almost every coach in the area and last year he was the recipient of the Ron Pinsenschaum Award. I look for him to get Kalida back on top of the PCL this year.

i also agree with Ft. Jennings, Miller City, and Kalida. it's pretty hard to tell right now which one will do better- all 3 of these teams are talented, experienced, and really want to win. the only prediction im making right now is that these teams will be battling for the top. to me, a key loss for kalida will be losing their goalie von der embse, which made some nice saves that i have seen... For Jennings, they're losing Chandler and Kloeppel right? they were very quick and talented, and then Miller City is losing Hermiller and Erford, which were also very talented. each team is losing some key players, but i think each team will fare very well this season.

Watch out for P-G this year. They have alot of players returning and shouldn't be underestimated.

PG did do better than expected last year and I do think they will be better this year, but to think they will be contending for the PCL title this year is just wishfull thinking.

I will agree, that for being a newer school to get soccer, and having football, they have improved nicely....

MUF sounds like you may be one of those people that are underestimating P-G already.

Last year in the PCL PG beat Continental 1-0, Tied Ft Jennings 2-2, Lost to Kalida 0-2, Ottoville 0-6, and Miller City 0-2.
With another year under coach byers and the experience of the returning players I see no reason that they won't improve and be a contender this year.

One thing that may hurt them though is that they won't have coach byers at their first 2 games because of his 2 game suspension from his red card that he got in the sectional game last year against riverdale.

pg_grad_01 I'm not underestimating you. I understand that on any given night anything can happen and that games are played on the field and not on paper or here online, but I just don't see P-G overcoming the odds this year. I'll say best case scenario P-G finishes 3rd in the league.

Kalida beat Toledo Christian 2-0 at BG, that may say something about them.

I thought Continental looked good, and MIller City had some good resuts as well.

From what I saw at BG Miller City looked better than kalida and continental.

I agree Miller City definately looked better than Continental and Kalida. But after watching each team play a few games I believe even more that P-G will contend for the PCL title.

pg grad the closest PG will come to a PCL title this year is when they play Ft Jennings and get to be on the field with players who actually know what it feels like to win the PCL.

Kalida is my pick to win the PCL.
