For Ottoville, we will see what kind of coach Utendorf is after the 5 or 6 seniors graduate

Well the freshman class they have now is really good. So if you are insinuating they will regress after this year then you could be disappointed. Do remember these seniors you speak of played last year so just saying. Talent or no talent you can tell how good a coach is if you pay attention to the right details.

On the girls side my Big Green friends are hoping this is the year. They made comments that the girls will be down next year and will probably only win 18 or so games in the regular season. I'm rooting for them and I hope your boys keep it going. The farther the Big Green goes in the tourney the more my friends buy the refreshments.

Hello General, Ottoville should be decent the next 3-4 years, both teams. They have many strong Fresh. players on both teams. I do not think they will win 20 games each season. The boys should be greatly improved over the next 3-4 years. We shall see. Conti will be better, I had high respect for coach Brown myself. I always root for PCL and local area teams. We all know how tough it is to get to Columbus, let alone win it all. Have a great week.

Mysterio, if you lose 5-6 seniors you will have some regression.
And that’s true but my point was basically saying that they shouldn’t necessarily fall off a cliff after this year. They got some really nice young players coming up. And to be fair on th coach, like i said you can tell if a coach can coach no matter what you have on your team. Who cares about what’s in store for the future and what he will do, focus on the now and see. Because they are off to a 4-0 start right now with each win coming via blow out. Something this same team for the most part wasn’t doing last year.

dufus, remember I was a true supporter of coach Brown. The big question is can the boys and girls get a total of 6 wins this season. It's going to be a long winter. My bigmouth neighbor hasn't said a word yet but it's only a matter of time.
Is that neighbor a parent of a former or current star who thought they were just a coach away from greatness?

No parent here, Sometimes change is good. I live in CA (sorry), but follow Ottoville. They will be decent, I do not know if they will be state material, but better than have been in a several years. They play a tough schedule, we see how much they grow over the year. Boys have strange schedule 8 of first ten are home. Girls will always be good as long as David K. is the coach.

I'm not saying that they will fall off next year. I just wasn't impressed with what he (Utendorf) did at Fort Jennings that's all. I do remember this team last year...they started 7 and 2. Then the wheels absolutely fell off. They won just 1 game the rest of the year.
The upper classman that are playing this year (I'm guessing they played last year) learned a lot of basketball under Turnwald. He was a good coach. He just didn't know how to handle the pressure and the parents very well.

Well I’m not sure he had much to work with there. You get a coach the right players and you can see what he is made of. Already I think he’s made an impact because I see a difference between this years team and last year.
