Is this the girl that keeps screaming in the stands and making idiotic comments??? You know nothing about football lady. Stop acting like you do. Kenton will get on track. Either be a fan and support the program or stop coming. You are an embarrassment to all KTFB fans.

There are a lot of these delusional "genius" minded people at every game. Ironically enough it's usually the women/mothers that are the worst and they don't know the 1st thing about football.

Why? Are they more qualified to run a Power or Pro-style set? What if that's the only offense he's ever known & he knows that offense better than any other?

You are obviously not a knowledgeable person when it comes to the game of football
As someone who played and coached in college, and coached at a Lima WBL school for a while, you should just keep quiet when you have those thoughts in your head.
Fackler is an outstanding coach. The reality is this - you don't have a Mauk or a Sherman at QB anymore, I know that's weird because it was like 10 of the last 15 years or so you had that, but you don't know. Maty Mauk and Ben Mauk made that offense go with the dual threat with their legs. Grant Sherman had the arm but not the legs but was still dangerous enough because of his arm to keep defenses honest.
Their current QB, who I am told is a sophomore, WILL get better, but he's not an elite D1 talent at QB, which is what you are used to seeing every Friday. If you don't have a QB, the shotgun offense can't hum like it should. If you don't have wide receivers (they aren't nearly as good as they have been in the past) that block downfield and understand sitting down in zones to make plays, your shotgun offense will be awful.
Fackler is going to reload, he needs a class or two to replace all the talent. Fackler didn't become one of the most respected coordinators over the last two decades in the league by accident.
Buy your ticket, support your team, and shut your mouth. Armchair coaching isn't for you.

You say, they need to check to a different play and throw the ball downfield. How is a head coach, with a play clock running, supposed to check to a different play. That has to come from the QB. This takes time, he is only a sophomore and his first year starting. The Guilty Bystander is right. You are used to a D1 college QB leading your team and this year it just not be there.
My guess is that Coach Mauk saw that Kenton, by their standards, may be down for the next few years. He took an opportunity to be closer to his family in Missouri. There aren't many offensive minds like him in Ohio. With him leaving and a new QB, the offense was going to suffer no matter who was named head coach. The young QB will get better with time. Give him and Coach Fackler a chance.
You make these accusations that Coach Fackler is not qualified yet can't back up what you say with facts. The GB is right, armchair quarterbacking is not for you. I see that you have two choices, buy your ticket and support Coach Fackler and Kenton football, or make the trip to Missouri and see Coach Mauk and his new team.

Never said that I coached at Bath, you just guessed that (and you are wrong). Several schools could be considered "Lima" schools in the WBL, including KENTON!!!!! (play dramatic noise)
But again, you're wrong, I know Ben personally, you're just wrong.

Does Coach Fackler call the offense. If not, By your own logic(and I use the term loosely) your problem doesn't lie with Coach Fackler, but with the offensive co-ordinator.
Keep posting. You make our points for us.

Did you realize that Bath has been in the WBL for 48 years, and has won 8 titles(1 every 6 years) and has a .531 winning percentage in league games? Meanwhile Kenton is at 10 titles in 72 years(1 every 7.2 years) with a .505 win percentage....and 8 of those titles have been since 1998. Kenton fans seem to conveniently forget that as good as they've been over the last 2 decades, they were laughingly bad for about 50 years before that.
Anyway, this whole topic is one big laugh. 3 games with a sophomore QB and the new coach already sucks huh? While I wouldn't mind seeing Kenton at 3-7 with no offense all season, the fact is Coldwater and Wapak are 2 of the better teams ANYONE in the area can play...and they almost beat Wapak. Whether it's the offense or defense carrying them, Kenton will be 6-4 or so at worst. At least for now. Things change in HS football and the thing that'll be interesting to watch is what future classes do if they miss the playoffs for a few years. Do they work harder to get back to that level, or do they accept 6-4 as the program norm. As long as they're contending for league titles and making the playoffs I expect them to be one of the teams to beat every season.

Notice they've gone quiet since logic and facts are SUPER annoying to try and argue against? The nerve of us!
The only reason I don't reveal my identity and where I coached is because I still scout for a WBL school. I've noted in other posts that I "try to see a different game each week". I spent several years coaching at some colleges in Ohio and then just a few years as an assistant for a friend of mine in the WBL as kind of a favor when he lost a trusted assistant.
But back to the point in hand, most of the posters here seem to understand that Kenton is in a "reloading" phase with their sophomore QB learning how to manage a game, which is all you should ask a sophomore to do if their last name isn't Mauk. Fackler is an OUTSTANDING coach who will get Kenton back.
And the great Mike Mauk? He's currently 0-4 on the season with his school in Missouri. Lesson being, no matter how great your coaching is you still need to have TALENT.
