The Baseball Writers vote for the league MVP's immediately following the regular season. The post season results are not included. If you got to fill a ballot, who would you have selected?

My picks:

American League
1. Miguel Cabrera, DET - Triple Crown!!!
2. Mike Trout, LAA - lost points because he started the year in AAA.
3. Robinson Cano, NYY - rock solid on offense and defense.
4. Adam Jones, BAL - led the surprising Orioles.
5. Derek Jeter, NYY - led the league in hits at age 53.

National League
1. Buster Posey, SF - hitting and catching every day, a tough combination.
2. Andrew McCutcheon, PGH - Pirate leader carried the team early.
3. David Wright, NYM - quietly put up big numbers on a not very good team.
4. Brandon Phillips, CIN - consistent at the plate and in the field.
5. Yadier Molina, STL - another every day catcher that is an elite hitter.
