Slowly losing my interest in Nascar...But hopefully with the changes in the making they keep me a little interested...Its all about the money...so keep the money coming in for the time being, keep losing fans, its will all work out when you the high ups pad their pockets.....enough already rolleyes.gif

So anyways, whos the favorite this year....Will Jr fianlly be what hes expected to be, JJ keep rolling??

I more than slowly lost interest. I've completely lost interest. Just 5-7 years ago NASCAR was my NUMBER 1 sport. I'd be glued to my TV every Sunday, no matter how great the football or baseball that was on was. Then they got rid of Rockingham. And the Southern 500. And California got a 2nd race. And I didn't have a driver to really root for after Rusty Wallace retired. It just became a hassle to even watch.

I'm pretty much down to just the plate tracks and maybe Bristol now. Guess I'll root for Kurt Busch being the only Penske driver I can stand this year, but eh.

As for the favorite, it's gotta be Johnson. Again. Him dominating like he is is getting boring.

I used to root for Ricky Rudd, then he retired. I still like NASCAR but not as much anymore. now i root for Kasey Kahne.

I watched a total of 1 lap today. This week actually reinforced what NA$CAR has become to me. They changed a bunch of different things midweek all because the speeds were 206(and for some reason they're against fast speeds lately). I'm tired of the random rules changes. Once a season starts, that should be it. Only change a rule if it's ABSOLUTELY neccesary. If the competiton sucks, oh well. Live with it and change it in the offseason.

Great win for Bayne and even better for the Wood Brothers. But now we gotta hear them overhype him when really, he hasn't proven much of anything yet. Yes, the Daytona 500 is HUGE, but it's a form of racing that gives anyone in the field a shot to win. Let's see what he does the rest of the season.

CRAPCAR sucks. It requires no driving talent whatsoever and is boring as hell. It's just cult thing for hicks to enjoy.

American Le Mans Series is where it's at. They just struck a deal with ABC/ESPN this year too so you will be seeing more of them.

Honestly I can't get into any of it anymore. I used to watch anything with 4 wheels that went fast. NASCAR, IRL, CART, F1, Le Mans, didn't matter. If it was on TV I'd watch.

Now all of it bores me to tears. Maybe that's my ADHD kicking in.

I can't stand CRAPCAR. I went to one race in Bichigan and that was it for me. The people are trashy, the drivers are trashy, and nobody speaks coherent english......nobody even really watches the races either.....all they want to see are wrecks.

IRL isn't all that exciting, but at least it takes skill to race in that series. F1 takes ridiculous skill and is the fastest, but does have setbacks in Ecclestone and dominant teams...but that's racing. ALMS is badass. Close racing and heated battles in a sportmanlike and classy manner. Real hard racing with talent, on a world stage, and it actually has real cars.
