Predictions for some WBL teams at Sectional:

Bath qualifies: Ingram @ 120, Wheeler @ 132, Garrett @ 160, Lhamon @ 220; only other real possibility is Neal @ 285.

Shawnee qualifies: Lucas @ 106, Kuhlman @ 145, Hefner @ 170; do not see any other possibilities.

Elida qualifies: Blaine @ 113 & Smith @ 195

Wapak qualifies: Kaeck @ 132, Plaugher @ 138, Ambos @ 145, Hall @ 182, Brown @ 195, Carpenter @ 220; Duncan @ 285 could qualify on a hot weekend

Defiance qualifies: Lantow @ 120, Zipfel @ 126, Chavez @ 138, Meyer @ 145, Bowers @ 152, Osborne @ 182, Seibert @ 285; multiple possibles include Assaf @ 106, Assaf @ 113, Barajas @ 132, Troupe @ 220

Celina qualifies: Garwood @ 152 possibly, but no guarantee; not much else as options

St. Marys qualifies: Hower @ 113, Heitkamp @ 160; not sure if too many others have a chance

Van Wert qualifies: only 195 and 285 have a chance on good days

O-G qualifies: Ebbeskotte @ 195; Gibson @ 285 may have a shot

Kenton qualifies: no one if Smith does not compete; could still be no one with Smith

Don't forget..van wert and og are both now division 3.. after wrestling in the wbl, they should do considerably better in div. 3

bath.. what about stonehill at 145 or 152.. rabley at 170 possible drop to 160.. possibility for mikesell at 195 and Rudasill at 182 wapak .. wapak might be a little overboard.. kaeck should make it but looked bad at leagues.. ambos might get knocked off... Hall is good but doesn't do very well against good competition (holiday tourney) .. can Brown wrestle injury?.. Duncan wont make it.. sorry wapak lovers...Celinas 220 will most likely make it ..kolhorst from Shawnee on a good day.. Defience.. siebert and Osborne are going to have to wrestle really well to make it..Barajas will most likely make it

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about! Guess we will have to see how all the pieces fall together this weekend!

Overboard on Wapak. They didn't do horrible at the WBL tournament. You can also throw Newman into the mix as well. As far as Hall he wrestled well all year so far in a weight class usually dominated by upper classmen he is a freshman! Has only lost to highly ranked kids for the most part. Sectionals there won't be many of those. Districts could be a different story.

Here are my thoughts, in addition to what has been posted

Bath Cunningham and Rudasil have shots of making it out. Stonehill's best shot of advancing is at 152. 145 loaded at the Sectional level
St. Marys. Nedderman as a possibility
Celina Crites 126 Silliman at 182
Van Wert Adams at 152/160
Wapak Duncan certainly has a shot. Its heavyweight that weight class has lot of volatility to it. There are no Billy Millers or Pat Garrens in the sectional that would require an effort of Herculean proportions to overcome.

State qualifiers will be hard to come by as the league is fairly young this year. Placers I believe will be even more scarce. Obviously we will get a better look how the league stacks up this weekend.

Here are possible state qualifiers/placers

1. Hunter Lucas (Shawnee): Top 4 possible Saturday Night Schott Participant
2. Collin Ingram (Bath) : 6-8 place at State
3. Dylan Hefner (Shawnee) a year away from placing
4. Cisco Chavez (Def)
5. Riley Zipfel (Def)
6. D. Ebbeskotte (OG)

Top 6 at District with a possible go to match
Derek Kuhlman (Shawnee) Seth Meyer (Def) Ambos (Wapak) sectional finish and district bracketing will come into play
T. Smith (Elida)
C. Brown (Wapak)
R. Bowers (Def)
Thomas (Van Wert)

I would rate Wheeler, Carpenter, Siebert, Neal, Hall, and Hunter as the next likely group to push for qualification.

Kids that are reading this go prove me wrong if you don't agree. I am rooting for all of you. Stay healthy on your post season journeys.

Here's what I have....

Bath - Ingram 1st, Wheeler 2nd, Lhamon 4th, Rabley & Neal alternates @ 5th.
Celina - Garwood & Lockwood @ 4th, Crites 5th
Defiance - Bowers & Siebert @ 2nd, Assaf, Lantow, Zipfel, Chavez, & Clellan @ 3rd, Meyer, Botek, Osborne, & Morris @ 5th
Elida - Smith 2nd, Hunter 3rd
Kenton - Smith 4th
OG - Ebbeskotte 1st, Balbaugh, Brown, J. Gibson, & S. Gibson @ 4th, & Palomo 5th
Shawnee - Lucas 1st, Kuhlman 2nd, Hefner 3rd
St. Mary's - Hower & Heitkamp @ 2nd
Van Wert - Hill & Thomas @ 4th
Wapak - Newman 1st, Brown 3rd, Hall 4th, Robenalt & Plaugher @ 5th

Looks like 30 DQ's and another 10 as alternates...
