Bath lost 18 seniors from a team that went 4-6. If it's all the same with you guys, won't be making any bold predictions at this time.

Elida seems to me the most likely to drop back into the bottom 5. This has been a great senior class.......McAdaams, Etzler, Blymeyer, Poling, Newby, etc. that is alot to replace. It will be interesting to see if the momentum this class has made is built upon over the next few years or if Elida returns to mediocrity, or worse.

Hopefully Defiance will be a little better next year. It has been a long time (2003) since Defiance has had a solid defense. It is directly related to not having any size in the lines. Unless some returning players grow a lot, the size issue is not going to change. Defiance's great defenses of the past were built around good size tackles and a small mean nose guard getting into the backfield and making plays.

The defenses in 08 and 09 were actually, in terms of points per game given up, better than or equal to 03.

But it was never as bad as the last 2 seasons. If they can even get back to a point where instead of giving up 30 points a game, they're only giving up say 23(just one fewer touchdown per game), then they'll be a better football team. They can score 24 a game and end up with a winning record next year....they need simply need to have some pride and step up on defense. I'm not denying that they're small and probably not as talented as the great D's of the past, but there's no excuse to be as bad as they were the last 2 years. And most of it starts with tackling.

Weep not for the dogs. While the losses are significant(exclude Poling-JR),the junior class is very strong and they only lose two starters from the defense. The four biggest kids on the team are freshmen and one started at noseguard. They return two receivers with over 45 catches and Sumpter will fill the running back slot or QB position. You don't replace a Mc Adams, but there are capable people available- summers 7 on 7 will tell the tale.

i'm going to blame buti for defiance's defensive woes. as the defensive coordinator you would think that more pride would be take on his part to make a strong d. its all about the FUNdamentals. no such thing these past 3 years. lack of discipline too.

I'm sure Coach Buti is willing to accept responsibility. He is not one to pass on blame. Anyone who has watched Defiance play the last several years knows there has been a real lack of talent / material / size / speed, in the program. Lack of size and speed if not a good combination.

Cant wait to see the surprises on the WBL's faces when Wapak lines up on offense and a 1st team running back is in the back field for the Skins.

I think Shawnee & Celina could be jostling for the top 3 next year if they can't stitch the holes this offseason that kept caving in this year.. If you thought the WBL was interesting this year, wait til next year!!

What do you mean? Is there a transfer coming in? Or is there a kid on the roster that you think is a beast that will become a first teamer?

The Wing-T system under Frye does a very good job of feeding the ball to their best runner, and generating massive stats.

Won't be surprised at all if Wapak has a first teamer at both RB and QB this year.

They are the biggest school in the WBL and will be the team to beat as long as Frye is there.

Also cant wait to see those flashy new red pants B) .... But i dont know if i would totally consider them a runaway favor
O-G will be a VERY good team next year, as what i have heard is that Windle is the front runner for the FB position next year which is a completely different runner than pickens and erb.... More of a small skinny QUICK kid, he can hit the hole really fast.... But we will have to wait and see

You will probably also see more of the "fling" since most of the skill guys come back from last year, and maybe he will implement more of the plays into the wing-t that it is capable of having

Defiance loses 10 seniors.....a few played both ways though. Offense should be fine, QB was a junior, receivers were sophomores, and the running game usually just reloads(I believe 3/5 of the line is back too). We'll see about the defense. Cautiously optimistic that they can at least win 6.

Shawnee returns 2 lineman, and 2 backs and 1 WR on O
also they return all 3 D-Lineman and 1 Defensive back.
So 9 overall.
Plus Shawnee had some Somp. and Juniors getting some PT in the past season.
