Nice to see the NW regional being represented by Columbus South (d2) and Akron St. V (d1)

What is that all about? Why aren't those team in their area regionals?

There aren't many d1 schools in NW Ohio.......Lima Sr., Findlay, some Toledo teams, so they have to bring teams in from NE Ohio or Columbus to balance it out. My problem is why play the NW regional final at Akron? I understand the split regional between Toledo/ Akron for the semis, but the NW regional final should be on Toledo.

D2 same deal, but not quite as big of a discrepancy. Population shift in Ohio the past 2 decades have not treated NW Ohio well

Well, how the mighty have fallen!......not more than 5-6 years ago I mentioned that the OHSAA has a problem and it starts at the very top....raising prices from $8 when first going to the Schott to the incredulous $15 today is just part of it....they’ve had their heads buried in the sand for far too long and now this........

With attendance plummeting they have had to go the “girls route” this year......1 ticket will get you into both divisional games this weekend.....King Snodgrass and his minions have finally thrown in the towel and that D2 should be a sight....if TM and Buchtel had played Thursday night, there would’ve been a chance for a sub 2k attendance.....

Wow, D3 and D2 likely to set records for all time lowest ticket sales for the participating schools. Overall attendance on Thursday sessions could very well be in the 5-6000 range. With teams like these 4 that nobody cares about I think they could have given an all day pass for $15 and still nobody would come

Last year a book of 12 tickets = $144
This year a book of 8 tickets. = $144

I gotta hand it to Jerry’s boys.....they is some sharp, sharp dudes....if you can’t get more people to attend, well then we’ll just charge more per ticket to the ones that do....

Ok, i’ll put it another way. $12 per ticket to see YOUR team play last year.... if you want to see your team play this year it will only cost $18 each. Now let’s say you’re taking your wife and your three young children to the game to watch your school play in the state tournament ...5 tickets last year = $60 plus popcorn....2019 with Jerry’s boys, a cool $90 plus drink.... I think most people can see what I’m talking about

Cleveland Hts Lutheran East vs Harvest Preparatory for the D3 Championship.......oh happy day!

Est. Attendance 5,213 (oh, and $18 per ticket)

Does anyone know what the lowest all-time attendance figures are for the tournament?

Last year the OHSAA gave Jerry Snodgrass, one of their own, a sportsmanship award. Wondering who will get it this year?

It's his standard M.O. MCguy. Spin and twist, twist and spin, all while continuing to pound on his raging Woodrow toward the OHSAA.

I attended the D4 semifinals games Friday afternoon. When the losing fans of the first game left (St Henry’s) there was a void in that section I’m sure they were very happy to pay $20 per ticket for the one game that they saw. I’m quite certain that the Thursday games were the same way. If you think your darling OHSAAA is doing a great job, fine with me.

Here's the thing, doofus.....nobody MADE the St. Henry (or any other) fans leave. They CHOSE to. Just the same as they CHOSE to buy those tickets (which were NOT $20, if purchased at "their" school, they were $15). Tickets were only $20 if purchased at the window, day of game.....which entitled them to 2 games.

The OHSAA is anything but my "darling," but your CONSTANT bitching about them is tired and boorish. You have a great deal in common WITH the OHSAA (maybe the reason for your continual chubbie toward them?), you both are presiding over a dying patient (the OHSAA = State tourney and you = this "message board") and have NO CLUE as to how to save them. LOL!

Keep spinning Elton. Only a few more months until your "tour" is over and you and Bernie can hold hands and ride off in to the sunset. :punk:

Mr Flyer,
Of course you’re correct about the “extinction” thingie.....since I moved to Florida 3 years ago the RC has fallen on hard times and will never get back to our glory years of 2005-2015.....Twitter, Twatter, Instagram, and the such weren’t around and it’s my fault that we didn’t embrace the new technology.....our traffic is off approximately 95% since our heyday and we’ll never get our mojo back I’m afeared......but my disdain for the OHSAA is well-documented and I have no qualms about it....you’ve been critical of the RC/myself since you voluntarily joined and I’ve allowed you free/unfettered access to bitch....that has always been the RC’s difference between the others......as for my previous comments about the thugs playing in D3/4.....when you have coaches assembling all star teams whose only purpose is one thing, then I’ll call it for what it is.......

Ah yes, the glory years, those days before the thugs ventured into the small school scene . That combination of gangsta rap and the John Deere crowd is proving to be a volatile combination. Hope things are going well for you in the Sunshine state.
