Teams on the move:
1. Ottawa Glandorf (3-0): Averaging 87.7 points per game without their star who is still recovering from an injury. Titans looks to be a favorite in our area for a deep tourney run.
2. Elida (4-0): Have beaten Shawnee, LCC, Spencerville and DSJ. Have not scored over 58 points yet, but their defense is what wins games. Bulldogs will be tough all year!!
3. Versailles (3-0): Their margin of victory combined is 61 points right now. Tigers will score often and be at the top of the MAC at the end.
4. St. Henry (4-0): Shawnee, St. Mary's, Spencerville and Russia isn't exactly tough sledding so far, but St. Henry will make some noise in the MAC and compete near the top.
5. Ottoville (4-0): Margin of victory combined is 108 points and haven't been tested yet. Should be 6-0 after this coming weekend with Ft. Jennings and Spencerville.
6. Lima Senior (3-0): We will see what they are made of this weekend as they host the Kewpee Holiday Classic.
Teams on the decline:
1. Spencerville (0-3): With so many good teams recently, this will be a tough year for the Bearcats. Rebuild year
2. Shawnee (1-2): The Indians will struggle this year but in two years, will be one of the top teams in the WBL. Younger guys will play a huge role this year to gain experience.
3. Celina (0-3): Bellefontaine, Versailles and Bowsher isn't exactly an easy start, but the Bulldogs so far haven't reached their potential. Big weekend ahead for them.

Ottoville and OG have 4-5 guys in double figures every night. Looking at stats, OG has had 6 different scorers in double figures and 2 others have scored 8. One stat that we may be overlooking is OG's defensive pressure. Forcing 21 turnovers a game leading to easy baskets. Elida will continue to get better. Watched replay of St. Henry and they look very deep, saw 4 subs entering on a couple of occasions and with Ahrens, Versailles will be in every game. Can't argue with any of the top 6.

You're right....OG gets a lot of easy baskets off of TO's, but they have also been lights out from 3 pt range so far. Granted, maybe not a great stretch of competition, but 24 3's in a weekend, 14 Friday & 10 on Saturday (against LB who is always pretty good defensively) is a good weekend...no matter who you're playing....and they were over 50% both nights. Not many teams who will be able to handle Dible and Kaufman inside...and also guard the perimeter when OG has 8-9 guys who have the green light to take a 3

"We have experience in many areas, but the area of growth we are most anticipating is the space between our ears." They will find it. Cougars are going to win quote a few games this year.
