Mt. Vernon is leaving the Columbus OCC for the Richland County OCC.....but....that Richland Co. OCC could be changing quickly.

Olentangy is adding a 4th HS and for now, they are waiting to see when that will officially be before filling MV's spot.
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

In 10-20 years, will Olentangy have its own conference of 6-8 schools?

I think Hopewell Loudon leaving the conference can definitely cause a stir in the BVC especially for Liberty-Benton. HL was the flagship school for keeping L-B in the conference as they are one of the largest in the conference and were oh so thirsty for a Division Balance in the conference Without H-L it will take Patrick Henry to join to keep the L-B haters' torches and pitch forks away. It might be time for the district to realize the NWC and WBL are calling their name. Columbus Grove would also be a solid choice for the BVC in the crumbling NWC. The fact that Patrick Henry and Columbus Grove were not chosen for the BVC is questionable, but after seeing some paperwork from the decision making, the L-B residents who at the time were at the head of the BVC, only protected themselves by adding larger schools that balanced out the Division 5 school in the Division 7 conference without any threat to losing out on a trophy that will be thrown sideways into their trophy case.

With the BVC flirting with instability, I think its time for the BVC to finally declare itself as the power conference it could be, Take on PH and Col Grove and say goodbye to Vanlue.

Agreed. Not sure why a few people on here keep assuming it is.

NW Ohio Guy....where is the "HL leaving the BVC" coming from? Are you just theorizing or is HL considering a jump? I had heard as recently as last Spring that they were ok with BVC as River Division of SBC was asking about HL but HL said they were fine with the BVC. I do know some HL people are not thrilled with the BVC travel and wonder if HL can win many titles in the BVC.

What makes you so sure Columbus Grove would want to join the BVC? The Northwest Conference in football is a better conference top to bottom. Look at last year's head to head results. The only BVC win over a NWC school was McComb's 1 point playoff win over a 4 win Crestview team. Check out BVC divisional winner Van Buren's 2015 results. 0-2 against the NWC. With both losses being by 2 touchdowns. Even Paulding would 2 - 3 games every year playing in the BVC.

I'm not saying the NWC is a power conference. It's just a better conference then the BVC.

It is still a hot topic by many on the HL board and I've heard they're pushing for a jump again. As for columbus grove, the district was very interested at the time of the expansion, and continued to show interest to the BVC, but the school didn't "fit the *desired* criteria" and wasn't offered membership of the conference. Also at that time, LCCs status in the NWC could have been a factor of Groves position at the time.

I'm glad HL is in the conference I believe they have something to offer. Leipsic and Pandora already have to play Columbus Grove and a third PCL-BVC dual conference school was not in favor.

As for the strength of conference, I'd hope the BVC takes action and aren't waiting for an Arcadia and Vanlue consolidated school district. Ugh the N10 thing really just messed things up.

*Also Carey was another school I really wish would have joined but that would have started more conference stirrups.

No way Col Grove is going to the weak BVC. The NWC is very strong in FB & BB & BB. Vanlue needs to drop FB, and move on.

I noticed that Paulding is 0-46 in league games dating back to 2010. 14-100 since 2001.

Being a division or two larger than every other school in the NWC you have to wonder how much longer they stick around with those results. If they did go to the GMC the NWC would be down to 6 league games and would probably need to shop for someone else too.

1. Grove was not interested, the BVC was interested in them. 2. Grove is content where they at now.

The NWC should add 2 more schools and play an 8 game league schedule.

Wayne Trace and Paulding need to just switch leagues, great move for both teams.

They should be in the WBL or the MAC (they do not want them). The NWC does not want LCC anymore. Put them in the MAC and make them play free lance FB. There you go. I do not know any other league for LCC. Do you Flounder?
