What's going on with these 2 teams they seam to have fallen off the map in the NWC?

They have both hemorrhaged talent through graduation over the past couple of years.

Ada has a few solid linemen, but that's about it. Not much in the way of skilled kids. They also lost their coach, which is always a difficult transition, even if the new coach is from within the program.

Jefferson is as bad as I've ever seen them. They lost a tremendous amount of talent. They are small and slow, which is a bad combination. Taviano isn't a particularly skilled coach, imo. They looked disorganized, unprepared and barely under control when they played at Allen East. Most of their behavior seemed to model their coach's behavior, which was barely under control.

If junior high is any indicator for future success (it rarely is, though talent is talent), then there could be a few tough years before it gets better. The Ada JH has a really good QB, who I can't imagine won't start as a freshman next year. Not a lot around him, but in that system the QB is everything. Jefferson had some decent talent this year. Pretty stout up front, but not overly athletic.

As is always the case, this tends to be cyclical. It's difficult to stay at the top forever, especially with the coaching turnover both of these programs have faced.

Did anyone witness the fight on the Delphos Jefferson sideline Friday night? I was told the Jefferson head coach and an assistant had to be separated. Then at the same time 2 players (one being the head coaches son) were on the track exchanging punches. The player fight was broke up by parents and the CG police. If that is true, Jefferson has bigger issues then being a horrible football team

I bet Taviano regrets leaving all that talent Perry has right now for that mess.

Taviano is a joke he worries more about his kid being the star instead of being a head coach! Complete head case! He'll be gone by end of the year and move so his kid can play some where and be the center of attention.

Just wondering if the new HC at Shawnee is following this story and whether he’s thinking of bringing this one to the wigwam?

The reason Taviano left Perry is because there were no teaching openings there. OSU Fanatic, are you buthurt because your kid isn't playing? Not a big Jefferson fan, but no need to say those things. Maybe there just isn't much talent at Jefferson. That is what I am hearing.

Admin: why the off the cuff comment about a transfer to Shawnee? Why don't you call Coop and hash it out. Your bias is disgusting and immature.

Not butt hurt here I don't have a horse in the race just what I've been hearing from people that live there I was just stirring the pot guess it worked LMAO!
But for a supposed leader of young men he's been suspended from a game and now he gets into an altercation on the side line with an assistant coach as well as his boy getting into a fight also seems like a bad fit. JMO

Yea, that is pretty bad and I did not know that. I just think criticizing coaches unless you have been a coach is . . . not a good thing to do. I appreciate your response.

And this is where Shawnee comes into play......Coop knows how to play the switcheroo game with the best of them.....the OHSAA has looked away and this seems like a perfect fit.

That is always a possibility with Coop, but it's not like Jefferson is a treasure trove of talent right now.
