Flounder and I have been in contact with Mr. Tom Jenkins who is the brains behind the mid-winter Classic in the Country event held each year over the Martin Luther King holiday............For those of you who have been reading RocketCorner for a few years, know that this is the premiere HS girls showcase in the entire USA :hifive2: .......we have been one of the CITC's biggest supporters since their inception 11 years ago and this year we are proud to announce that we will be hosting (and giving out all the prizes) that are associated with the "Weatherman's Contest." It's pretty simple, you pick the winners of each of the games scheduled that weekend and the person with the highest total correct will win a FABULOUS prize package that will include a night's stay in a suite in Berlin, Ohio, 2 VIP passes for the entire weekend, RC embroidered Polo, $50 gas card, and a gift bag...  of course there will be 2nd tier prizes also........and like all RocketCorner contests, this is absolutely, positively FREE to enter.......more details to follow in the upcoming weeks......RM

Flound,
I think Slicer is a little intimidated by our knowledge of the
girl's game...she has told me that she "ain't going nowhere
with us!"......maybe we should drop in around the holidays
and see if we can change her mind ....RM

Just to be clear, this isn't really a "Beat the Weatherman" contest anymore, right? It used to be that there was an expert, known as the Weatherman. He made his picks. The idea was to pick more games correctly than he did. Then, among those that succeeded in doing that, there was a random draw for the prizes.

That's no longer the case, according to your rules. There is no Weatherman. Whoever picks the most games correctly wins, and you have tiebreakers to settles, well, ties. Right?

Congrats go out to Landess who wins the CITC "Weatherman's" Contest........seeing as I was ineligible to enter, as was Flounder (I must say in all modesty that we are the 2 most knowledgeable in girls hs basketball) this was really a crapshoot between about 6 RC members......

results are posted and I will need everyone to email me with your username, name, address and shirt sizes....thanks RM
