I attended the Minster Invite over the weekend and heard my old coaches talking about this guy. I hear that he is a terrific sprinter and is gonna try and win state in 4 individual events. If anyone on the RC knows more about him I would really like to know more.

Knights,
Try researching some old Lima News from about a month or so back..........they had a story about him and his younger brother.............transplants from Cincinnati Christian I believe............their grandfather used to live in this area........

on a sidenote, the younger Horn participated in the very prestigious Mehock Relays over the weekend also......zooom

first of all they are not brothers but cousins. JOE is a transfer from Cincinnati while Gray has attended there all his life. This is yet another example of needed transfer to win a state championship as most other sports have done this year. Both of the Horns are gifted athletes for a D 111 school, JOE is a senior and is going to Ashland University next year while Gray is a sophomore.

Here's what I know about senior Joe Horn of Waynesfield-Goshen:

2004 D-III state 300m IH runner-up, 7th 110 HH
2005 OATCC Classic D-III champ 55m, runner-up 55m HH, 4x400 relay champ
2005 D-III state 100m champ, 4x400 relay champ, 4th 300m IH
2006 OATCC Classic D-III champ 55m, champ 200m, champ 400m, 3rd 55m HH
2006 D-II/III indoor state champ 200m (state record 22.36) and 400m champ (state record 49.06)

Also 2006 D-VI All-Ohio at wide receiver and was All-Auglaize county with 1250 career points in basketball - will attend Ashland U on football/track/academic scholarship.

He is the cousin of sophomore Gray Horn who was 3rd in the D-III pole vault last year and has cleared 15'1 this year.
