That petition may have gave us a warning about something big. I have heard from multiple people Mike Mauk and his family are moving to Missouri to be closer to Maty. From what I have heard Ben is going too. The WBL looks like it is going to be wideout this year.

Colt, how solid is this? I've heard the same thing in the Findlay area the last few days........has the "real" media done any reporting on this? If not, we probably shouldn't be using it...... :sarcasm:

So the entire family is uprooting and moving to Missouri to be closer to their son that moved away for college?

Seems unlikely to me.... REALLY strange to say the least...

If so, it's the biggest news ever broke on here. I bet Fackler takes over for him

Sounds like its true. Families move all the time. Mike and Ben have new jobs....they get to see Maty and their daughter lives there. Dont see why you would think its strange

It is a bit strange when you consider what may have prompted this. I've HEARD (emphasis on HEARD) that Mauk wanted to do a retire/rehire for his AD position and some of the BOE members were against it, so he started looking.

Hearing Kenton School Board did not rehire him. Per Maty Mauk's twitter account he is down about this, so I don't think the original plan was to move to Missouri.

This makes me wonder.. It's not maty is going to play at Missouri his whole life? What if he gets a shot in the big league? And the whole mauk family is moving?

I know back in December at a jr. high basketball game there was talk from some people at Kenton that the school board was not going to renew his coaching contract and that was coming from a guy who helps coach the h.s. team.

Maybe a couple of the Board members have kids that are running backs. That would definitely do it

He would have been a RETIRE-REHIRE. The board said "no". They weren't a fan of his work as AD.

Well played!

Just heard that Kenton is having a candle light vigil on Sunday for Coach Mauk. We are idiots.
