He can win many many MVP's. But..If he wants to be compared to the Michaels, Kobe's, Magic and Larry's he must win a few rings. He is physicallly the best player in the NBA and may wind up being the best ever talent wise, but again championships is really what makes someone great.

Lebron will never be MJ or Kobe. It is not in his DNA, he is a distributor first and a great player. He can be one of the best to play the game if he evers matures enough in his own mind to just be who he is and stop trying to be who everyone wants him to be. He will never be MJ, or Kobe. Magic maybe, and magic didn't take the last shots, he distrubuted the ball. He was also more carsmatic, and Lebron is still a basically still trying find the true man in himself. College would have helped him mentally alot, skill wise no, but he would have been better prepared for the scrutiny. He is also not a great leader, he will always defer to the person in the room who is he thinks is better. That's why D-Wade is still getting the ball at the end of the game. He believes more in D-Wade than himself at this point. Doesn't make him less of a player. But it doesn't allow him to be the next Kobe.

Never put Kobe ahead of MIchael. Imagine if he does not play baseball for 2 years. Would of been 8 in a row.

I think the clutch gene is in Lebron, but hes not a shooter like Kobe and MJ....

And there will never be another MJ simpily because he transformed the game into "todays" game

Guys, I wasn't putting Kobe ahead of MJ. I just used Kobe, because he is at the tail end of his career and it seems we keep looking for the guy he is passing the torch to. MJ, last time I checked isn't getting on the floor anymore to play.

but you guys are looking at MJ through rose colored glasses like I do. I grew up admiring and watching MJ too, and Kobe is right there, and he is a better shooter. MJ. best player ever, but Kobe is a better shooter.

That Bulls team would of beat the Rockets without a doubt those 2 years.

And Lebron clutch? He is no where near Michael and Kobe when it comes to crunch time. That's his problem, he does not handle the pressure well.

Michael was a much better defender. 1st team every year.

The clutch comment. So then you are saying Magic wasn't clutch because he didn't shoot the ball at the end of games, he drew defenders and set players up. So he wasn't clutch then? lebron is magic not Kobe, and MJ. He wants the ball in his hands at the end of the game but it doesn't mean he wants it to shoot. He wants to set up the best possible shot for the team (in his eyes). And if it is for him to shoot, then so be it. If someone else is more open then I am passing. He is a team player first, and that's funny that is what gets him criticized, for not being clutch.
Taking the last shot in a game every game doesn't make you clutch. If that's the case the Horry from the Spurs is the best clutch player ever, Steve kerr is a great clutch player.

He runs away from the ball. Jordan was 9-18 in playoff game ending shots.Horry was actually a great clutch shooter and Kerr was good as well.

And he is not Magic. Magic won rings. King has ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is already better than Kobe. Difference is you can depend on Kobe for that shot at the end. But, you can count on Lebron for that drive to the basket as well. Kobe has had the experience to make sure that shot happens. Lebron does not have the experience to always get it done. But, he is by far the best player on the court. MJ was a great player. But, people only remember how many rings he has. They never remember those moments as they all have them where he just could not get the win. MJ will always be the best player that ever played the game. And if I had to say second best I would say Lebron.

I disagree with him not having the experience....hes been in the playoffs enough now that he should be able to do it down the stretch...I think most the hype is way overboard, but he deserves some...I think a lot of problem is he plays so hard on both ends of the floor, which most NBA players dont, he is so gassed at the end....

Lebron came up big yesterday. Have to give him props for that.

Lebron again physically a great player/ He is not Kobe IMO. Kobe and Michael willed their team to wins. Lebron does not have that in him at least right now.

He is better than 34 year Kobe, but Career wise, he is not. He is just a freak physically, but his game has yet to develope to the level of Kobe Bryant. Don't compare 28 year old Lebron to 34 year old Kobe. Kobe has way more games on those knees and body than Lebron has played. So yeah, if Kobe is down somewhat in his game than Kobe of 6 years ago, but Lebron, is not Kobe.

And Lebron has been in the league now for 8 years, if he hasn't figured it out by now he may never. He has had chances to get experience.
