I imagine there are some opinions and ideas out there on the recent discriminative comments by Donald Sterling (owner of the Clippers). What are the RC's thoughts?

Did I hear the phrase "life time ban" on the radio in the car on the way home today?

I find it particularly funny that he's now, ironically, black-listed. :D

I find ALL involved, so far, pretty "out there".

The whistleblower seems very odd in her behavior, after the fact, and with the recently released vid of the wife impersonating a Heath dept. official to evict ppl (with specific mention of Asians in one vid and a bleeped response in another--I'm assuming black) from their rental properties, I say, "good riddance to both!" They seem like a couple of truly evil, racist people.

What will be truly a shame is if they can receive all the money acquired from the acquisition of the franchise from the prospective new owners (at prospective selling price), to whomever they may be.....which, btw, hopefully won't be the Mrs., as was suggested earlier today. I can't believe anyone would accept that.

I'm sure this is long from over, though....as Mark Cuban mentioned, this also could set a precedent as far as what scrutiny ALL OF US could be held to from past comments, even in jest? (Although, I feel his and his wife's, obviously, is TOTALLY racist)

Will be interesting to watch to see how it all shakes out, that's for sure.

He will not willingly sell cause he paid like 12 mil for the franchise in the 80s and its worth at least 700 million now. Capital Gains tax is 33 pct. That would be very painful

He will sell if the other owners vote by a 3/4 margin and force him out. By all accounts, the vote, when it comes, will be 29-0. He would then have no choice but to sell. If he doesn't do it soon, and all the sponsors continue to stay away, it will greatly devalue the price of the franchise. And after hearing his first interview after all this happened when he said he "just should of paid her off", it's not a matter of "if" but "when" this happens. The NBA has been trying to get rid of Sterling for years. He is done as an NBA owner. I don't think the rest of the league, or anybody else, cares if the capital gains tax makes it painful for him.

This is a very difficult topic to discuss, because you really can't comment without either being completely against Sterling, or being a racist.

Look, Sterling is an old, confused white guy who grew up in a different era. Right or wrong, many people thought like this 50-60- years ago. Go talk to other 80-90 year olds and see what you get. Add to that guy who's owned everything and answers to no one and this is what you get.

I've said all along, the NBA is in for a long, legal fight. Look for the 29 other owners to pitch in and buy him out to save the PR headache.

Every day I hear more and more of what he's done to people over the years. He's not old and confused, he's just a thoroughly rotten human being. You're right that many people thought like this 50-60 years ago, only it's not 1950 anymore. You're still free to think like this but there are consequences when you do.

He's looking to sell the Clippers for $2 billion. Think about that, please.

If you began working the day that Jesus Christ was born and you made $500,000 a year every year, you would only have to work 1,986 more years to reach $2 billion.

He isnt it is his wife that is selling. He is trying to fight this now. This could get interesting.

I thought they told him he's not competent enough to own the team and it's all but final. But yeah, he's not the one selling but the point remains.

He is suing nba now for 1 billion. I think the whole incompetence thing is a way for wife and nba to get their sale and money. This could get ugly.
