The Playoffs are upon us. It seems like just yesterday the season started. This is where this competition starts to get tough. Teams we are familiar with play competition they AREN'T quite familiar with. That leads to educated and often UNeducated guesses.

Last week we had another perfect score put up by Mr Morgret (his second) which vaults him ever closer to the lead after starting off the season near the bottom. Great comeback. On the other hand Mr Oberhaus continues his slide into obscurity. Too many chances taken to get back into the competition has led to two straight 4-6 weeks.

Mr Baker continues to lead and gained a game on Mr ? (ROCKETMAN) with Morgret right behind. Lets see how the playoffs unfold.

Last Week

Josh Morgret- 10-0
Jamie Baker- 9-1
ROCKETMAN- 8-2
Jordan Strack- 8-2
Eric Kastner- 7-3
Dave Boninsegna- 7-3
Tim McDonough- 6-4
Joel Miller- 5-5
Kevin Oberhaus- 4-6

Overall

Jamie Baker. 75-25

ROCKETMAN. 71-29

Josh Morgret. 69-31

Jordan Strack. 66-34

Tim McDonough. 64-36

Kevin Oberhaus. 61-39

Joel Miller. 59-41

Eric Kastner. 58-42

Dave Boninsegna. 56-44

Week 11 games

DSJ @ Leipsic
Arlington @ Fremont St Joe
Crestview @ LCC
Ada @ Jefferson
Huron @ LB
Coldwater @ Eastwood
Bryan @ Genoa
Napoleon @ Perkins
Norwalk @ Columbian
Perrysburg @ Akron Ellet

Jamie Baker- Findlay Courier

Leipsic over Delphos St. John's - Vikings have lost four straight to the Blue Jays, the string ends this season.

Arlington over Fremont St Joseph - Red Devils by at least two scores.

LCC over Crestview - Crestview never beat LCC during the NWC era so I'll take the Thunderbirds

Jefferson over Ada - Bulldogs won the first meeting, Wildcats win this one.

Liberty-Benton over Huron - Tigers are battle tested playing in the SBC, Eagles beware.

Coldwater over Eastwood - Cavs won't have much trouble advancing to round two.

Genoa over Bryan - Genoa has been rolling against everyone, they'll be tested this week against the Golden Bears.

Sandusky Perkins over Napoleon - Napoleon is well-tested but I think Perkins wins this game in a close one.

Columbian over Norwalk - Columbian has been here many times before Norwalk hasn't.

Perrysburg over Akron Ellet - Perrysburg's losses are to Toledo CC and Whitmer. Yellow Jackets make the trip to the Rubber City worthwhile.

ROCKETMAN- Mysterious man behind the curtain.

DSJ.........in a big game such as this I usually go with experience and tradition.......mild upset on paper but not really in my own mind

Arlington ..taking another "away" team and one I think who has played the much tougher schedule.

LCC........definitely not a LCC lover but can't pick against the 'Birds just quite yet...

Jefferson...a revenge game and it's at Delphos......Jefferson in a good one.

LB...........not looking past Huron, but definitely pointing towards another LCC matchup

Coldwater...why bother, it's the MIGHTY, MIGHTY MAC!

Bryan .......this is the toughest one for me this week.....taking the Golden Bears because I feel the NWOAL has prepared them better.

Perkins....Naptown disappointed me this season. Don't see that changing this week.

Columbian....2 one defeat teams knocking heads early in the playoffs........Frost-Kalnow has been kind to the Tornadoes.

Perrysburg....I know absolutely nothing about Ellet, other than they used to have some very good wrestling teams in the past. (so that means Bubba might take them!)

Josh Morgret- Fremont News-Messenger

DSJ... Leipsic's worst nightmare came true when DSJ snuck into the playoffs.

Arlington... St. Joe's worst nightmare came true when they drew Arlington. I'm not sure SJCC can score enough to hang with Arlington.

LCC... LCC seems to be on a roll and the more experienced team here.

Jefferson... These two meet again and I like Jefferson here.

LB... Huron plays bigger schools but also lost to the bigger schools. LB in a close one at home.

Coldwater... I think Coldwater wins this one by two or three each touchdowns. Make sure you get kettle corn if you're at Eastwood though!

Genoa... This one should be a dandy! Two 10-0 teams that could have been state contenders. I think Genoa wins by less than a touchdown. It might have been different if it was at Bryan...

Perkins... Good draw for Perkins here. They win by three touchdowns and (in my opinion) set up a huge rematch with Clyde next week

Tiffin Columbian... TC won the first matchup AT Norwalk without their starting QB. He's back and TC is at home this time. Columbian by 10

Perrysburg... Big road win here for the 'Burg!

Jordan Strack- WTOL Toledo 11

Leipsic- I actually could go either way on this game but I don't think this DSJ team has a playoff run in them.

FSJCC-I thought Arlington was going to have a dream type season after a few weeks but they slowed down.

LCC- I think this could be a classic but I like LCC close.

Ada- they beat Jefferson back in week 9. I think they'll do it again.

LB- tough 1st round matchup but I think they're ready for a deep run.

Coldwater- hasn't been a typical coldwater team...but they have the winning pedigree to go on the road and steal this game.

Bryan- toughest game for me to pick..but Bryan has the type of team that can beat Genoa. Will be a high scoring last possession type game.

Perkins- I haven't fallen in love with this Napoleon team all year for some reason.

Columbian- I don't feel entirely comfortable with this pick...but at home I'll take TC.

Perrysburg- lost to CC & Whitmer. No shame there. I think they can slow down a high flying city league team from Akron.

Tim McDonough

DSJ @ Leipsic - I'm sure everyone in this region was hoping that Minster would beat Delphos St. John's last Friday. Vikings have firepower to beat Blue Jays, but I'm going with DSJ.

Arlington @ Fremont St Joe - Arlington has played a better schedule and that's why it's moving on to Week 12.

Crestview @ LCC - A very interesting matchup of former league rivals. Both can score, but I like LCC's defense to get the job done.

Ada @ Jefferson - Jefferson is still mad about it's only loss of the season. They won't lose to Ada twice.

Huron @ LB - Huron has played a tough schedule, I will give them that, but Liberty-Benton will find a way to stay alive.

Coldwater @ Eastwood - Coldwater's two losses are to D-IV No. 1 Kenton and D-VII No. 1 Marion Local. Both those teams are going to win state titles (you heard it here first LOL), so I'll take the Cavs to make another long playoff run.

Bryan @ Genoa - No. 2 in the state (Bryan) vs. No. 3 in the state (Genoa), when does that ever happen in the first round? I like the way Bryan can score, but I also like the way Genoa is so physical. I'll take the Comets to win it in the fourth quarter.

Napoleon @ Perkins - The Wildcats continue to find a way into the playoffs under Tory Strock, but I think the Pirates may just be too strong for the 'Cats to make a run.

Norwalk @ Columbian - A rematch of a game won by Columbian by four points back on Sept. 20. Another great matchup awaits, but I think Columbian pulls it out again.

Perrysburg @ Akron Ellet - Based on strength of schedule, I'll take Perrysburg to get the victory.

Kevin Oberhaus- Sports writer impersonator

Leipsic- I am very torn on this. Leipsic has its best shot at beating DSJ last year but DSJ has 0 impressive wins..ok, maybe 1 vs Minster. Vikings break the jinx.

Arlington- even tho St Joe beat a hot Mohawk team last week, they still have been too inconsistent. Arlingtons performance at LB was an eye opener to say the least.

Crestview- Going on a limb. Crestview has been strong all season and their dominance of Ada caught my attention. I have no confidence in LCC come playoff time. Maybe it's the coaching.

Jefferson- I don't think the Dogs can nip the JeffCats twice in the same season.

Huron- This game really took some deciding all week. Huron plays larger schools and played the best of them pretty close. But they lost. LB hasn't lost and really only had one close game which I think they needed. I originally picked LB BUT I'm changing it to Huron. I love my LB friends but the Perkins and Bellevue scores just stand out to me. Maybe I hope I'm wrong.

Coldwater- While Eastwood is good and only lost to teams with a combined 1 loss, Coldwater only lost to teams with a combined 0 losses. Last time I checked 0<1.

Bryan- Call me a homer but the NWOAL was pretty good this year and Bryan made it look easy aside from the Wauseon game. Schimmoeller is just so elusive, almost Aaron Craft like only taller. But the Bears defense will have to play their best game of the year to win. 50-50 game really.

Perkins- Love the Cats but they are young. The NLL toughens them up but Perkins should win by a couple scores.

Columbian- Close game. The Tornadoes got them once by 4. Truckers have an outstanding RB. Another tough one to call so I'll take the home team this time.

Perrysburg- While Akron's city league is better the Toledo's, so is the NLL. The Yellowjackets have only lost to D1 Whitmer and Toledo Central Catholic. Not too shabby. The long bus ride home will be enjoyable.

Joel Miller- WNDH 103.1 Napoleon

DSJ @ Leipsic Leipsic
Arlington @ Fremont St Joe Fremont St. Joe
Crestview @ LCC Crestview
Ada @ Jefferson Jefferson
Huron @ LB LB
Coldwater @ Eastwood Coldwater
Bryan @ Genoa Bryan
Napoleon @ Perkins Perkins
Norwalk @ Columbian Columbian
Perrysburg @ Akron Ellet Perrysburg

Eric Kastner- Rocketcorner News

DSJ - Even in the midst of a down year for DSJ, they seem to be the favorites in region 24. I have St. John's winning a close one at Leipsic.

Arlington - Arlington will be out in full-force over in Fremont, as their speed and size will be too much on SJCC's turf.

LCC - LCC in a nail-biter with the Knights.

Jefferson - playing with more confidence right now than Ada.

LB - Huron won't overcome the long bus ride over to LB. The Eagles win by two scores.

Coldwater - I'm going with a rich tradition in the midst of a down year in the MAC.

Bryan - In the battle of two unbeaten's.

Perkins - Sandusky should see TCC in week 13.

Columbian - Could be one of the best games in the 1st round. A lot of talent and speed all over the place.

Akron Ellet - Defensively, they will be too much.

Dave Boninsegna- ZSportsLive.com

DSJ @ Leipsic
going against my better judgement and since we dont normally cover DSJ, I will pick this one. Leipsic needs to play better than they did against PG; but I think they can break the jinx over DSJ.

Arlington @ Fremont St Joe
Arlington puts up alot of points; they played a good game against LB, but come away with a better one as they beat St Joe.

Crestview @ LCC
this will be a close one but i am taking Cview by less than a td

Ada @ Jefferson
I believe that Jefferson surprised alot of people, they will be the Delphos team to get out of week 11 with a win.

Huron @ LB
Simply LB, they are really good.

Coldwater @ Eastwood
MAC teams dominate, taking Coldwater

Bryan @ Genoa
Dont know much about either, but I remember when OG played Genoa at their place, they are tough there. Will take genoa

Napoleon @ Perkins
again toss up will take home team

Norwalk @ Columbian
Columbian won by 6 earlier in the season, they pull it off again this week

Perrysburg @ Akron Ellet
perrysburg

I gained a couple games on the leader especially with my Crestview pick. Hoping my Huron pick pans out tonight...and my Leipsic one too. But in all honesty, I'm too far out now to make a difference.

RM...you picked up 2 games on Jamie. I picked up 3... But mine won't matter a bit. Too many chances taken in last few weeks.
