I don't get it.......
Back in the day, that was the dreaded question all men hating to have uttered in their presence and also what most of us ladies tried to avoid, at all costs....Nowadays, it seems everyone wants a big arse, even going to the extreme of having derrière implants......
I just saw a clip on TV of Kim Kardasian AND Serena Williams (side by side, from the rear) entering a storefront--of couse, they had to enter singularly... Lol ....All the " young" guys went crazy over them upon viewing, but, I just don't see how that's attractive to anyone.????
Anyway, that clip is what prompted this latest inquiry of, "Is this purely a new, recent, younger generational phenomenon or have men "secretly" always found those big, bidacious booties attractive?"

Well, I'm older than dirt...so my taste may not be that "relevant", but I am not a fan. I'd post a pic of what I think a nice butt looks like, but I can't find any appropriate for "family" viewing right off hand.

From an Anthropological standpoint, the male eye prefers a hip to waist ratio of .07, because it is evidently optimal for maximum fertility. All Miss America winners have fallen in this range. (Although we still listen to them sing, dance and speak before we decide, lol). Something out of this range, (bigger waist, small hips) we find a bit off putting.
That optimal ratio is why large actresses like Jennifer Coolidge and Anna Nicole Smith are still attractive, even though both are close to if not over, 200 pounds.
It's also why Coke bottles and Corvettes are shaped the way they are.
To me, Kardasian exceeds this ratio. She looks a little like a cartoon.

I use to work with an African American who use to tell me that he always like a woman with a big arse. He also said it is because that he would get his moneys worth.

I asked my hubby that question just Sunday....his respond, without missing a beat, was to look in the mirror and ask me ....."do you think these pants make "the hulk" look to small"? (LOL-is this to racy for the RC??)

If subjected to freezing cold water, the Hulk may revert back to Bruce Banner

I have no preference. I've dated girls with tight butts/bodies. Married a girl with curves. Excessive is bad, but nothing against curves.
As for society? Not sure when it happened but the shift may have started in the early-90's.

I'd rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan.
