With the draw coming up on Sunday what are everyone's thoughts on who goes where?

Arcadia 6-9
Columbus Grove 13-3
Cory-Rawson 5-10
Leipsic 13-1
McComb 8-7
North Baltimore 1-15
Pandora - Gilboa 5-11

Just looking at records, This looks like a much weaker Sectional than in years past. Although it might have the two best teams in the District.

A lot will be decided this weekend. Grove @ Ada, Leipsic @ Arlington and @ OG. If Leipsic enters Sunday 14-2 and CG 14-3 does Columbus Grove get the #1 seed, and therefore the bye, based on the head to head matchup between the two, a 31 point bulldog win?

Either way I see the Vikings and Bulldogs advancing. The only team I see possibly giving either team trouble would be McComb.

If Leipsic can win @ Arlington and @O-G to get to 15-1, I think they get the BYE. They have a few BVC teams in the Sectional with them, that would likely give them votes. If they win @Arlington and lose @ O-G, I think Grove gets the BYE. It would be hard to ignore the big loss plus Grove whacking OG and Leipsic losing to them.

The other half of this district (Kenton Sectional), is alot stronger then it usually is, Ada, Arlington and Vanlue all have good records.

Grove and Leipsic will get the top two seeds. Who is top seed shouldn't matter. I understand the possibility of an upset, or injury by playing the extra game, but I enjoy watching the Vikes play so an extra game would ge allright by me. I'm not the coach so what I think has absolutely no bearing on anything.

Arlington lost close games to Ada and Vanlue so they'll probably be the three seed. Vanlue could end up 1 if Grove beats Ada so OG 1 would play Kenton 2. So, we could see rematch of Grove/Ada, Leipsic/Vanlue or Arlington,
For the sake of arguement how about an LB district where Leipsic plays Ada and Grove plays Vanlue, just to see some new matchups and not rematches.

Don't ya just love tournament time and all the what ifs?

Interesting that Grove chooses to not take the bye. Possibly influenced by their slow start out of the tournament gate last year when they had a bye and struggled mightily with Lima Perry in the sectional final.

Maybe the Grove coach was looking down the road. Trying to see who they wanted to play in the District Semi's.
Just a thought, but coaches do take that into account sometimes...
