With all news outlets reporting snow amounts of 6-9 inches and bitter cold the next few days in NW Ohio, what have you done to prepare for the storm? I have been bringing firewood into the garage and have made sure I have plenty of fuel for my generator...........Mrs. RM went to Lima yesterday to stock up on necessities and we've talked to our neighbors to let them know that the fire will be burning brightly just in case power is lost...........what else?

Stocked up on beer and made sure we at least have enough food til Wednesday. And now with level 3s in both Paulding and Defiance counties, I'm officially going nowhere til then.

1. Went to Mass Saturday night instead of Sunday morning.

After Mass performed the following steps:
1. Grocery store- got the essentials. Milk, coffee, bread, eggs and whatever else the wife got.
2. Stopped by the gas station- topped off the van and filled up the gas can. I had emptied the gas can earlier in the day into the generator.
3. Bought a case of Budweiser.
4. Secured the dog kennel with some extra blankets/etc.

By far the most important step involved the Budweiser. No way I'm being stuck in this house with the wife and kids with no beer. Not gonna happen.

I'm hoping the dog in is the house with you! No dog or cat should be outside in this cold.

It's so wrong to be taking the dogs out at 4:30am at 30 degrees and it feels balmy.

DEFIANCE COUNTY FOLKS: get a stockpile of your beer, cigs and diapers!!!!!!! We're gonna be very cold for a couple weeks now.

A PSA from the RocketCorner 'cause we care. :D

How wrong is it to see a clip of a interstate wreck involving a FedEx truck and my 1st thought is, "I hope none of my packages are on that truck".

I HATE WINTER!!!!

Spent 11 hours in this crappy frigid weather, freezing my backside off, milking cows and feeding calves. I'm done...can't friggin' stand it anymore.

Watch out for the drifting snow.

And- stock up on beer so you don't get stuck at home, sober, with the family. It's the worst.

1] Bought a 6 pack of wine coolers. Figure that will last me at-least 3 days.
2] Put computer on craigslist.
3] Mapped out all the Duck Dynasty type shows for a 24 hr marathon.

Jock-

6 wine coolers would last 3 days? You admit that in public.
