Outside of their pizza, I love their Prime Rib French Dip sandwich with Au Jus. Soooo tasty, and the Au Jus is not overly salty like a lot of places. It's got a rich beefy flavor to it that makes that sandwich really, really full of flavor.

mr slice is friends with heaphy, as well. :)

after this thread started, just had to have my 1st Beer Barrel experience in over 20 (maybe even 25) years.....
and for nostalgia's sake, had my traditional old-timey standby regular...... 16" pizza w/pork & Itallian sausage, mushrooms, black & green olives, onions, green & mild peppers & double cheese...... add appet. of shrimp, tomato & mozz. salad, mushrooms & onion rings & beer, we had the tab of eating in a 5 star, gourmet restaurant!!  and leftovers to feed us for the next week! :D

I really get overwhelmed by menus with too many yummy selections, so was very glad i'd already reconciled to go 'old school' like back in the day, but, have much more i'm looking forward to experiencing in the future..... really want to try some of the specialty pizzas/ingredients that i love & a few subs/sandwiches & salads.

Back in the day one of my friends worked at Beer Barrel. While high school/college age we used to go there after hours and make the best pizza. Probably why a far previous owner had to sell since he was going broke. It was the place to go in Lima if in high school back in the day. The "mammeries". Time to take some pills and go to bed.

I thought I remembered reading something about the Beer Barrel somewhere. I just notice the one in Findlay the other night. Never been to any of them but I'm looking forward to trying it.

Haven't heard any complaints lately so I guess that's a good sign.

And John informed us he's not able to judge the MAC Wingfest last year. Tell him we'll miss him!
