im going to say it right now...either Van Buren or Arlington is goin to win the BVC title this year! with all respect to Leipsic, I just think VB and Arlington have the deepest pitching staffs and the most firepower from 1-9 in their lineups! it will all play out itself!

Early on it sure looks like VB and Arlington are playing the best in the BVC. Leipsic plays VB I think next Wednesday so we will see where those two teams stand.

Arlington's remaining BVC schedule:

4/17 @ Liberty-Benton
4/19 w/ Cory-Rawson
4/26 w/ Vanlue
5/1 @ McComb
5/8 w/ Arcadia
5/15 @ Leipsic
5/17 w/ Van Buren

These weeks with two BVC games in them should make things interesting...Good luck Devils!

Just out of curiosity, can other people from BVC schools post their schedules so i can take a look at them? thanks.

I can see the week of April 17th to be a tough week for Leipsic. They have BVC game, PCL game, and BVC game, with no rest. It all comes down to bullpen strength/pitching strength. That will play a major role in the outcomes of these games...

They also need run support. If they have no run support, it'll be impossible to win them...I'm interested to see how this week plays out w/ the rest of the BVC as well...

Good luck to all.

You also have to take into consideration possible relief pitchers needed in that situation and always need to consider if one pitcher gets rocked and another has to come in and replace him, they could still easily end up short from the bull-pen. I am interested to see who starts these games as I can see one coach giving up on either the BVC title or the PCL title, however, i don't think c-r is the greatest so they may throw there "worst" arm against them.

I don't know, it will be interesting...

Leipsic does not have a "stud" pitcher this year. They have 3 or 4 guys who are pretty much equal I think. They have to rely on good fielding which is what cost them all three of the games that they lost in a row early in the season. If they play solid defense their pitching will keep them in the game.

Then it more or less comes down to their fielding for their stretch of games...

If they can't field, and the pitcher can't get any k's, the pitcher will probably be pulled and depth becomes an issue here...just what i'm thinking

Maybe Leipsic will win BVC
But when it comes to PCL, Kalida will win

Yes VB beat Leipsic, which is so far their only loss in the BVC. Leipsic does however still have 3 of the best teams left on their schedule; LB, CR, and Arlington. I would think they need to win all those games to win the league, and that will be a tough task.

One good thing if there is one about getting knocked out of the tournament early is that you can pitch your best guys in the league games where as the other teams that are still in will be saving their aces for tournament games. So Leipsic might not have to face any of those teams best pitchers.

Congrats to the Cory-Rawson Hornets on winning a share of the BVC title! The Hornets may have snuck up on some people, but these guys have been winning baseball games since little league and had a great season, finishing 16-3. Special congrats to the four seniors, Jake Young, Nick Rausch, Matt Rader, and Nathan Harris on outstanding baseball careers at C-R.

congrats to the arlington baseball team also for grabbing a share of the title along with the hornets.... 2 very solid baseball teams with corey rawson and their hellacious offense and arlington with their solid pitching, arlington was 17-3 and cr was 16-3. great job guys... good year for them both.

heard caskie was throwin pretty good for the hornets... .it didnt seem like he threw blazing fast, but just accurate and hard to hit pitches or something. and for the devils i heard some good things about lenhart too... throwing hard against the knights and shutting them out. not a bad job guys...
