Vikingfan07: Nobody likes a cocky poster. Don't be a jerk....by the sound of your posts, you're sounding like a real classy dude. You shouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. You can be confident, but don't come across so dang cocky. Last year, everyone was saying that Leipsic was the team to beat and they ended up losing 5 or so games in the BVC. What makes this year any different? Just curious?

Van Buren will beat Leipsic this year! Leipsic will be lucky to finish over .500 in the BVC this year. They are not as good as all of you make them out to be. I see the BVC race coming down to Arlington, Liberty Benton and Van Buren.

Dave Niese---First base, 3rd or clean up hitter, hit .500 last year
Michael Butler---Right field, pry bat cleanup, broke a bone in his foot last year catching batting .475 when he went down
Ryan Schroeder---shortstop big play maker....bats .300
Matt Meyers---ace..throws good and hard when he wants too
Richie Rodriguez---centerfield bats 5-6....right around .325

all 5 of these players are atleast 2 year letter winners...and were all par of the beating of Kalida last year..and part of the 2006 BVC CHAMPS this year!!!!!!(my personal predictions)

im just wondering, as a non-biased party, how come there is a topic in nearly every sport on whether or not the Vikings can win the BVC?
Its good to have confidence, but sometimes other teams have a better chance and should be the name of the topic.

just an opinion

I think that everyone is overlooking arlington, they finished 3rd in the bvc, and lost 2 players, a ss and a rf. They are extremely underrated according to this site. They have a lot of talent on their team and a talent coming up too. I'm just saying, Leipsic and Lb and VB are not the only teams in contention...

It seems like the BVC will be more wide open this year than years past. There are not the dominate pitchers this year that can single handedly lead a team to a victory.
Arlington 2008, Who will be Arlington's best pitcher(s) this year?

As for VB they have the talent to compete but they lost some very, very good players from last years team. Will have to see who steps up for them this year.

since arlington_2008 seems not to be responding, i will answer to the best of my ability.

i believe arlingtons pitchers this year, these are just a few, and im not sure if they would be considered arlingtons best, and they are:

leinhart
morado
and drerup

i dont think any of those are spelled right, but, to my knowledge, all of them will be pitching this year, you would have to ask arlington_2008 for the rest, if there is any, but thats all i know, hope that helps leipsicfan...

I'm sorry, i haven't been on lately. thejackel doesn't know what he's talking about. Arlington hasn't lost any pitchers from last year. We lost 2 players, a shortstop and a rightfielder. We have all of our pitchers back, they include:
Lenhart
Inniger
Drerup
Rice(maybe)--sophomore still developing skills
Morado(maybe)--senior with a little control and a nice meatball
Inbody

They haven't lost any pitchers and are looking at a bvc title contention this season. Look out, they're in the hunt...

Does Leipsic play any real team???? Like a WBL or some of the better baseball schools. You guys are getting way too worked up over sum conferences that are frankly mediocre.
