Get a life folks....This is not a Western Ohio problem, this is not a OSU problem, this is not just a Lima problem.......This stuff happens ALL over the good ole USofA. Why anyone would want to come on here now and take giddy pride in slamming Jamar is beyond me....

Jamar had a dirty urine at OSU his senior year. NCAA rules on first time offense states for the universities to handle it in house. Matta slapped him on the wrist and made him run a couple extra line drills...litterally! Unfortunately, premier athletes are not held accountable from the start and the athlete's feelings of contempt for rules and/or law becomes the norm. Hard lesson to learn, but he paid his 150.00 fine and will be back on the court Sunday. Too much cruising on High Street with Santonio Holmes and the fellows.

I thought he got released by the team that signed him a few months ago. Did he sign on with another team? If so how is he doing? Does he start? score much?

Played for a team in Greece. He and the coach had some sort of falling out. Now he's playing in Turkey. Mutlu Aku Selcuk Universitesi Konya is the team name. (Say that 3 times fast! laugh.gif )

And it appears that one of the players has had "the weed problem" charge dropped.

QUOTE
Ohio State offensive lineman Mike Adams had a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed this morning in Franklin County Court. Adams was fined for running a stop sign.

Garth Cox, the attorney for Adams, said the pipe that was found in Adams' car after he was stopped by police on Jan. 14 tested negative for any drugs, and he said Adams voluntarily submitted to and passed a drug screening.

Cox said the pipe found by officers was one that is used for smoking tobacco and that after the drug tests came back negative, police agreed with the dismissal.

The other player with the "weed problem" was also voluntarily tested and his results came back negative as well.

So nary a trace of marijuana was found to be present in not only the pipe, but also the player's systems.

Gil Grissom I'm not, but after further exploration of the evidence, I'd surmise neither player has a "weed problem."

Cox said Shugarts had also taken a voluntary drug screen and his results came back negative as well.

Shugarts is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

"Hopefully we get the same result, but you never know - a different judge, a different prosecutor, and we'll just have to wait and see," Cox said.
