I would not be surprised if Hicksville doesn't make it there. In any case, it is McComb's to lose.
I also expect all the lower seeded teams are licking their chops at the prospect of playing Lucas.

According to records right now, they have played two teams with winning records. The first was a win over Centerburg (5-4) 30-14, the second Lucas lost 41-0 to Danville.
They also play teams without true varsity schedule (Fostoria St. Wendelin, and Beallsville)
So highly doubtful they will win a playoff game, even in a weak region.

But, I think McComb would win that match up by 3 TDs.
Time will tell!

I wouldn't totally disagree with you D-Browns. I think after Liberty-Benton beat LCC in 2011 a lot of folks thought they would beat Hicksville as well. Hicksville utilized their QB to the max in that game and beat LB 20-13.
But in this case (vs. McComb).......I think Coach Alge is a pretty good ball coach himself and he has the horses to ride them to wk15. I may come back to regret this statement () but region 24 should only be a speed bump in McComb's road to state.
JMHO!

McComb is 9-1. Their only loss was to perennial power Marion Local by a tight score of 24-22. They have since reeled off 8 straight wins by an avg score of 46-2. In that path was PG (5-4) Hopewell (6-3) and (an improved during the season) Van Buren (6-3).
Hicksville is 7-2. They got beat by a good Tinora team 47-6. They lost to a 4-5 Archbold, beat Edgerton (3-5) by only 2pts in overtime and won another overtime game vs. Ayersville. They also beat a 3-6 Fairview 14-7.
For sure games are not played on paper, but you gotta lean toward the Panthers if these two matchup in week 13.

It was close. Swap Leipsic and Hilltop and you have your top 8.
