On the girls side I'm picking Seneca East to win the team title and on the boys side I'm gonna have to go with St. Thomas. St. Thomas is clearly the favorite but does any team have a chance of defeating them? I think the Minster girls have the best shot at defeating Seneca East. Lets hear your predictions.

Well, seeing as how 4 of the top 5 girls team in the state ran at the same regional last week, I would predict there to not be much of a change with Seneca East, Minster, Loramie, and Versailles being at least in the top 5. It will be interesting to see where Gilmour Academy fits in there though.
On another note, how in the world does Seneca East run in the Southwest regional? I haven't seen gerrymandering like that since Akron St. Vincent-St. Marys and Lebron played in the Northwest regional tournament.
Regardless, I look forward to the state meet. If you have never been to it, you probably underestimate how exciting the sport can be.

Girls:
1. Seneca East....Stockmaster and Phillips will need to be at the front of race, and 3, 4, 5 need to be solid
2. Fort Lormaie...3, 4, 5 will be the key to podium for the Redskins
3. Minster...seem to be falling as they did last year
4. Versailles... always a contender but not likely to be top 2 material this year
Boys:
1. St. Thomas....Miggliozza needs to be number...not in race, but def. scoring
2. Russia...Never seena gropus pack it up so well before

I agree that the 4 girls teams representing the troy region will take the top 4 spots at state. St. Thomas's is a very strong team but i would love for Russia to pull the upset. Imagine a school as small as Russia winning a state championship in Cross Country.

I found out this week that Loramie's typical #3 did not run in the regional as she was battling off an illness. I'm not sure if she got better in one week's time, but if senior runner Katie Overman is healthy again, that could be huge as it was mentioned by others that the 3-4-5 runners efforts will be the determining factor for podium status.
I will not be at the state meet today but I am very much looking forward to seein the results!!!
