FJ 5
VB1

FJ is still too talented.

What??!! FJ lost to Kalida... VB tied... so I think by that logic that FJ could be on upset alert when the knights roll into town...

You CANNOT use that logic in soccer. Every game is different. So since Cory and Ada have beaten VB, both could be PCL champs?!?!?!

Kalida hasnt been stopped since then. Was it because of VB or was it because Kalida had a down game. I think it was the latter.

That logic will work in any sport, any time... it doesn't always happen.... but there is always the chance that it will... good luck VB tonight

Ok then here's some logic along your thinking. FJ beat CR 2-1, CR beat VB 5-1, so FJ will beat VB easily. And at the beginning of the season Riverdale beat LB 3-1 so why even play the 2nd game right because Riverdale should already have that game won, well they did play the game and this time LB won the game 3-1.

Every game is different. Every team has different styles of play, some teams just match up better against certain teams than others, playing at home or on the road makes a difference, the officiating can sometimes play a huge role in the game. And sometimes a team may be down a key player or two due to injury. So my point is every game is different from another and no one should ever underestimate your opponent or think just because you beat or tied a team that your next opponent lost too that you will win. As my college coach liked to say games are played on the pitch, not on paper. During an 80 minute high school game alot can happen and upsets happen all the time, thats what makes this game so much fun to play and even watch.

You see thats exacly my point is that anything can happen and to write VB out of the game before they even leave for it is bogus... Van Buren can hang with this team if they play as good as they have been... the win against Bryan is a morale booster and I know that they want to do it again so why not today?

Well if you can pull out some more Jennings/Bryan games and you'll be sitting pretty well for tournaments.

But, acccording to logic, as you said, that's bogus. Because, "FJ lost to Kalida... VB tied... so I think by that logic that FJ could be on upset alert when the knights roll into town..." and now, CR lost to Ottoville 5-2, and Ada tied Ottoville 2-2, so does that mean that Ada will totally dominate against CR? Or, last year, PG tied Riverdale, 2-2. And then PG lost 2-1 in tournaments, does that mean it will be a nail biter this year?

I guess logic would say yes, huh?

any given team any given day... Arcadia over HN.... App State over Michigan... logic says that the underdog always has got a shot...

The way you put it, since FJ beat Kalida, and Kalida tied VB, which means VB has a chance.

No, that's not the case. Anything can happen. You can have a D1 school lose to a D3 or D4 because it takes 1 minute for a mess up. 1 shot on goal can be that 1-0 game. If you defend for 80 minutes, you'll get at least one chance. Nothing's ever written in stone.

And all this logic stuff I keep saying in all the other posts I make, I'm just messing w/ you. Giving you a rough time. lol

And, also, you're right, any given time, any given day.

With a predicted 2 wins vs. the Tiffin teams, VB could have the momentum to knock of a few big apponents, or at least tie with them. If Adams doesn't sit bench like the FJ game, the Knights have got a good shot for tourneys...

No, he can't, but he can change the play of the game. With Adams in at sweeper, Tropf, Sleas, and Baker all can be put into an offensive position. Without Adams, Tropf or Sleas goes back to sweep, totally changing gameplay...

I don't care who you are, whether you were Drew Hartman, Kyle Spangler, Jordan Hurrera, or the Easter Bunny... if you play for a varsity high school team or even are a JV player that practices on one... you should be able to play, or at least have a basice understanding of every postion on the field, with the possible exception of keeper... as long as you know that the keeper stops the ball, you're doing pretty good, but sweeper, stopper, fullback, forward, center mid, outside mid, and any other term that you have for these positions... you should have an idea what each spot does.

this is very ture but i do beg to differ with u knightmare adams is a tough player hes fast and hits hard and when he plays smart is a great player this allows us to bring troupf or me into center min jessie and dwight uptop and this allows us to bring in a stronger attack granted they should be able to play the other postions but with them in these spots it allows them to play a more comforatable game and get some great scoreing oppertuniteys

Justin said it well...and said all there needs to be said for Adams....WHEN HE PLAYS SMART IS A GREAT PLAYER. I'm not trying to dis his talent, because he has some. But, because he doesn't always make the best choices on the field (or off), everyone else better be ready to cover for him. Sorry, he's not a 'God'. I think once you guys stop thinking that if he isn't on the field, you're going to lose, your team will improve their win column numbers.
