VBSS2 - no didn't make game tonight. May not be able to catch you guys for a week or so. But, after seeing Bryan game and hearing a tie against FJ, it sounds like you guys have things clicking.
Keep up the good work.

BVC20 - I really don't like seeing scores like that but at least it wasn't only 2 or 3 players scoring everything. It's a good thing to spread it out.

New Knoxville is not the easy win that they once were. Their program is slowly turning around. And Lima Temple Christian is supposed to be pretty good this year.

I was at this game and New Knoxville plays a hard physical game...Temple was playing really well last week and seems as if they were not ready to play against a solid New Knoxville team. Temple will have to prove themselves thursday when they get to play Continental at Home, but tonight they looked like a total opposite team from last week.

They have 10 freshman on the team and 6 of them play significant minutes including their leading goal scorer and the goalie. So things look bright in the future but the future doesn't matter, now matters and they have alot of maturing to do if they want to compete on a night in night out basis, because New Knoxville out muscled and out worked an better-skilled LTC team tonight and the result showed.

All the Credit goes to Knoxville they should've won the game....

It appears as if maumee is in the middle of a rebuilding year. They are 2-7 right now, with their only wins coming against Whitmer and Rossford. I know they had alot of seniors last year and I guess the underclassmen just weren't ready for Varsity yet. I look for them to be better next year.

Well FJ has had struggles this year, and it seems like Otto and FJ had trouble finishing games off. Ada scored 3 goals in 57 seconds. Great for them, bad for Otto.
Seems like a theme this year that teams have the ability to rally.

the only reason that VB was aloud back into that game was because of all the injuries that FJ aquired in the last half and to save face the coach put in the entire bench and then VB scored on FJs bench with 4 minutes and 130 left......no big deal just a dissappointment for FJ......i wouldnt call it the big win everyone for VB is calling it

Botkins 2
Franklin Monroe 1

Botkins put in the winner at :28 left.

Franklin Monroe is the #3 rated team in the Dayton area behind Sprigfield Catholic and Yellow Springs.

Records
Botkins 6-1-2
F Monroe 6-1-0

Well, VB had injuries too... Right defender got injured and Sweeper Tyler Adams did not play until 25 min left in the second half... Which forced jason tropf and jesse sleasman to move back to sweeper instead of being able to run the offense like they normally do... FJ did not put in their "bench" players and only like 2 total were injured. This was a good tie, but VB could have beat FJ if they could have capitalized on some opportuinities to score in the 1st half.

It is a big win, or at least at big tie, when VB beats FJ. The rivalry between these two soccer teams is huge. FJ has wanted VB's blood since the D3 semi-finals on the road to state in 2003. They went so far as to put VB's team picture on their lockers. As for the injuries, sorry, but that's the game. As for the tie, the way you're calling it, it sounds like poor coaching, something area teams have been seeing a lot of. VB has had some questionable coaching calls lately, so you can't blame the outcome on 2 injuries alone.

ada goals

yankee
watson
vaughn
and i think clum....

ada was down 3-1 and scored 3 goals in about 2 minutes

Actually it was Elliot that scored one of the goals, not Clum. And it was 3 goals in 55 seconds

I remember that game ,the Regional Final game, didn't have much to do in it since I was just a Freshman but none the less, VB is shaping up a lot better than it has since then, so I've heard. I anticipate possibly another claim to districts if certain things are improved. As was stated a tie is a tie regardless of poor management or injuries and the closest time since last year that we pulled something like that to a school that is dedicated to their soccer was eons ago I look forward to checking in despite being in Florida you still have an alumni player rooting for ya!

haha this comment is funny when 23 scored near post on fj keeper off the in line.. and 11 won the ball off your best player playing lazy with one minute to go on the eighteen seems like fort jennings needs to stop worrying about vb and worry about playing smart all the way to the whistle......
