Good play (from what I saw) tonight Knights. It may be a loss...but, what I saw was a team that didn't give up tonight. Even close to end of game - everyone on field was still running, shooters were still shooting and a goalie that I have seen not try after awhile, had a very nice save near end of game. All this even though I heard (I wasn't there at the time) that two of VB goals were called back.
Life is a gift...that is why it's called 'the present'

Van Buren played about as good as you can in a shut out loss... ethey did not quit and if they can continue that... they could bring it together... after Ada scored within the first two minutes, I thought that this one could be a run away but... the Knights held strong... great effort guys.

I agree with what has been said about the Ada game. Although I don't know what the call was that took away Tropf's goal, I feel that it was a good match. Congradulations to Freshman Andrew Shroll for Man-of-the-Match due to his superb marking of Ada's all-league star forward (although I can't come up with his name). And congrats to the Knight's JV for the 1-0 win against Ada's JV. I look forward to the upcoming seasons to see how both teams develop.

Ada will be just like they always are... VB has a load of talent, they have had alot of it since the early days... its just a matter if talent can work together to achieve greatness... There were 5 seniors on last year's team that made it to State Semis as Freshmen... could have repeated the feat last year, but it just never came together, next year's team returns alot and there are a bunch of decent players back... Tropf, Merrick, Schroll, May... Any one of these players could break out this year or next... We shall see...

As it is still the beginning of this season (2007) lets keep the talk about this season, and wait till the offseason to talk about future teams... smile.gif

I agree, VB can't afford a goal in the first few min. of the game. If knightmare is wrong, I say 2-1, VB. FJ lost to Kalida, but have been strong against the Hornets and OG. Only the Hornets and OG... I think it depends on how similar the fields are and how big the crowd is. FJ has a definite advantage at home. It'll be interesting to see this one played out. Hope they put Cooley in goal... (if not, hope they sub him in after/if FJ scores on Baker)

FJ feild is different from yours bench, the school is right beside it and there are houses on all sides... Fort doesn't have football, so the crowd will be large... this is their football... I don't think that you'll be able to hold them to just one goal I could be wrong though.

this game is tough to call...if vb comes out with intensity and can quiet the crowd and keep their heads, it could be a good game... if not- look for a tough night for the vb knights
