I think most folks are sick of Detroit. Obviously when they first won people were excited because they hadn't won in ages and then knocked off the despised Lakers (if my memory serves me correctly). Now the Pistons are just becoming more and more like the Lakers and the Yankees: a team that most people would prefer to see lose. If the Cavs go into the Finals several years in a row and win the thing year after year, then they would probably join that "club" too, just outside of the area. Detroit is still rooted for here, but you get far outside their geographical fan base and it is just "down with the Pistons." Plus, you have the brawl factor up in Detroit that really makes you sick of the team and doesn't really make you think highly of their loyal fan base. As far as I am concerned, they wore out their welcome to the elite teams in the NBA a while ago.

wow you hit the nail on the head man i think that is exactly right, people LOVE an underdog story unless their team is playing the underdog.....but i wouldnt mind if lebron got plenty of rings and people hated him, i would lvoe it actually!

At the half.....
Detroit turned things around from the deficit they had in the first quarter & went up by as much as four at one point....but less than two mininutes left in the half Chicago took the lead once again with the score being 50-43 at half time.

Not a prob, wally.....

I got busy during the 3rd & 4th 'til about 7-8 min left in the game.....but from what I gathered Detroit was down by 19 going into the 4th & was within 6-7 points a couple different points in the last quarter but just couldn't pull it off....From what I did see, some of the usual reasons for not winning a game, turn overs & not making your basket attempts count....

Final
Chicago -102
Detroit - 87

A little added piece of info....If I heard correctly, this was the first time in their last 22 playoff game appearances that Detroit has allowed 100+ points by the opposing team....

After what happened at the end of the suns and spurs game, I wouldn't be surprised if a suspension or 2 get handed out.

Note to LeBron James..... if you want to be compared to Michael Jordan, you better learn to make your foul shots down the stretch of the game. MJ never missed.... you always miss...better get that fixed.

Yeah, LeBron can't seem to hit the free throws when they are really needed. I remember earlier in the season where he could have cemented some games and missed, as well as games where he would be sent to the line trailing by a couple and miss.

As for the Suns-Spurs, I think the Spurs finally just silenced any argument as to whether or not they are a dirty team. They certainly aren't looking like they play clean at all. Bowen...suspend him...Horry...suspend him...Send a message David Stern, put these guys on the pine for the remainder of the series and tell them that if you can't keep your cool on the court, then you aren't going to be allowed on the court. Some of the stuff they are pulling is just ridiculous.

Let them play? Nash has a censored.gif ing gash on his nose, took a shot to the groin, and now got checked! There is a difference between letting them play and dirty play. Duncan and Bruce Bowen shouldn't be on the court for the next game.

What they have been doing lately hasn't been "playing basketball." Sure, let them play, but only if they become part of the WWE and leave the NBA.

The gash on Nash's nose was an accident.

I know that one was but I'm just saying look at all that has come from the series. If anything it was Nash's fault for the gash because he dove in to get the ball.

im getting tired of fouls you can draw for the person will theball jumps into you to make contact and thenshoot the ball....and also if you goup to block a shot forget the body contact, look at the arms....im happy the league is doing something about these bogus fouls byputting the restricted area under the basket but come on....its the playoffs we want the best players on the floor not the bench....and some of these whimpy fouls can determine who wins the game or change momentum which is huge.....just thought i would share that with you smile.gif
