Ada has never had a losing record, and I doubt that this year will be their first. Like everyone else, they will step up like they usually do during the season.

Who around the area schedules 16 TOUGH teams every year?
Please let us know HOW to get on those tough team's schedules as well. Do you know how many times Ada has tried to get on better teams' schedules? Finally after 7 years, Bluffton concedes to do so. WBL teams won't play Ada as they have nothing to gain. Kalida and FJ? Their schedules are pretty set as they play a lot of PCL teams and then WBL teams.
Ada also has Bluffton and OG to run into in sectionals when if they would have been in the sectional with the other NCOSA teams, they would have won it every year. Look at the runs that Old Fort, Riverdale, and Van Buren made in the past few years, a lot of that had to do with WEAK sectionals--especially Old Fort.
And finally, please let me know how to make those other teams better. Ada has never lost to Van Buren, especially during their great years when they went far in the tourney (VB). Yet now VB is rebuilding and so beating them is to be expected. WHose fault is that?
If you didn't think that Ada's teams in the past were VERY good, then you didn't see them play.
Let me know what SUPER TOUGH team you root for and please list their schedule.

Been a while homes! This topic had to make me laugh. Ada is a perennial DIII power in the NW. Other than Kalida, FJ, and Bluffton, who can boast a better team in the past five years?????? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM????????????????
Cut em some slack, I know the past coach tried to get the schedule toughened evry year. What can you do when the AD doesnt get it done? What do you do when your league teams stink? What about when teams hit bottom and stay there? Like a Temple or a New Knoxville. At least NK got dumped.
I recall when Van Buren went to state semis a few years past. Ada went to their place and controlled the game. Believe it was 3-3? The Feter and Pifer boys were only freshman. Noy bad for young pups against a veteran (and foreign--HA!) VB team.

Perennial POWER? May be a bit strong of a characterization. Sure they cannot do much about the schedule, but list for me the last 5 years worth of tournament results....
2006 lost 3-0 to OG in the Sectionals
2005 ?
2004 ?
2003 ?
2002 ?
Sorry Cory fans imo, powerhouse is a pipe dream.

Your comment about the sectionals proves a point of mine. You said "Ada also has Bluffton and OG to run into in sectionals when if they would have been in the sectional with the other NCOSA teams, they would have won it every year. Look at the runs that Old Fort, Riverdale, and Van Buren made in the past few years, a lot of that had to do with WEAK sectionals--especially Old Fort." I agree completely with you on this. This just goes to show that they can beat the bad teams, when they come up against good teams they don't as well because they aren't used to that kind of competition throughout the regular season. If they were in the weaker sectionals they probably would have advanced further but as soon as they would have come up against the better teams they would have been gone just the same.
I thought when Fetter and Pifer were seniors that they were going to make a good run through the tournament, but for whatever reason that didnt happen.
I wish Ada the best of luck this year, but I just don't see them doing as well as in the past. But next year they should get back on top of things again.

I would put Riverdale, Kalida, FJ, O-G, Genoa, MVCD, Ottawa Hills, Bluffton and Toledo Christian above Ada.
Now if Ada had done anything in the tournament over the past couple years I would probably have them above a couple teams.
Oh and by the way congrats on the 3-3 tie about 5 years ago against VB. It must have been a heck of an acomplishment for you to bring it up this many years later.

goin2goal, Genoa might move up to D2 this year too with 211 boys. It all depends on where the cutoff is. And in 2005 I think Ada lost to Bluffton in the tourny after going undefeated in the regular season. Not sure about the years before that.

By putting Riverdale above them shows you know NO history between the two teams. Other than last year, Riverdale has beaten Ada once, 3-1. ALl the other years have either been a 1-1 tie, OR Ada winning, PLease tell me how that makes Riverdale better?
Again, you have not answered the question of which team you root for.
You sure have a lot of talk.

I rank Riverdale above you because they play a tougher schedule than you and they have made better runs in the tournament. Plus the coach over there knows what it takes to have a good program and that gives them an edge to me. I don't really care or know what the head to head match ups have been between you and them. I've seen them play several times and my opinion is that they have a better program than you. I'm sorry that you don't agree, but all your wins against weak teams in the regular season and failure to do anything in the tourny just doesn't impress me all that much.
Since you can't figure it out on your own I root for Manchester United.

I wonder how this form makes the ada players feel? I bet it gives them a lot motivation for next year....
