UCLA's been quietly hanging around the top 5 all season and have the ability to play well in the tourney. They can play some outstanding defense when they want to and if they play lock down in march then they will be in the final four. I also think a Texas team will make the final four...take your pick on which one.

i look for UCLA to do it. they havent gotten all the coverage like these midwest and east coast teams. UNC and OSU both have played in some big games this year, but i dont think that the bucks area as good as people say they are. they have snuck out of some games and i dont know if they will be able to do that throughout the tournament. the buster this year is winthrop.

i am an indiana fan at heart and im not sure if they are gonna make it now. i mean some of their losses this year...i dont know. they need to win out this season now after that loss to MSU. and they need to get out of the quarter finals of the big ten tournament to make it to the dance....but if they make it...they could surprise some teams i think. they have played well against the good teams this year....havent been blown out. they just like to play to the level of competition.

also i think that Michigan St. has solidified their spot in the dance. close to beating OSU twice, beat Wisconsin and IU in E. Lansing this past week. unless they have a collapse and lose the rest of their games and lose early in the conference tournament....AND then another team that is on the bubble would need to win the dance to kick them out. but i dont see an Izzo coached team doing that. and it would be nice to see two lima land players in Butler and Walton in the dance.

I'm always one too pick a big underdog or a cinderella team, so my pick is Notre Dame to come out on top when the tourny comes to an end.

I say the Orange are in if they beat Villanova at Villanova. If they don't win that game, a nice run in the big east tourney will help their case. How about Demitrius Nichols? 22 points and most in the second half! Much like the Providence game where he had 14 points in the second half and the "dagger" 3 pointer.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Demetris Nichols and Andy Rautins each hit
a pair 3-pointers to key a 14-0 second-half spurt and Syracuse beat
No. 9 Georgetown 72-58 Monday night.

The victory snapped the Hoyas' 11-game winning streak and gave
the Orange a strong claim for the postseason.

Georgetown (22-6, 12-3 Big East) had won 11 straight conference
games for the first time in school history and had defeated
Pittsburgh 61-53 Saturday to avenge a road loss to the Panthers in
January and take sole possession of first place in the Big East.

Syracuse (21-8, 10-5 Big East) has won five straight since
dropping four of five.

Nichols, the Big East's leading scorer, struggled before getting
hot midway through the second half and finished with 22 points.
Eric Devendorf had 11 points and 11 assists, Rautins had 13 points,
and Paul Harris had 11 points.

Jeff Green, Georgetown's leading scorer, finished with nine
points on 3-of-13 shooting, the first time he failed to crack
double figures in 10 games. Center Roy Hibbert, who has never had
much success against Syracuse, continued that trend with just six
points and only two rebounds. Starters Jessie Sapp, Jon Wallace and
DaJuan Summers scored a combined 25 points on 4-for-29 shooting.

Georgetown, first in the Big East and fifth nationally in
scoring defense, allowing 56.1 points per game, got a taste of its
own medicine. The Hoyas shot 29.8 percent for the game, just 20
percent in the decisive second half against Syracuse's 2-3 zone.<
^No. 3 Kansas 67, Oklahoma 65=

NORMAN, Okla. -- Julian Wright and Mario Chalmers each
scored 18 points, and Kansas bounced back after blowing a 17-point
lead to beat Oklahoma.

The Jayhawks (26-4, 13-2 Big 12) committed 12 second-half
turnovers against Oklahoma's pressing defense, but rebounded with a
late 11-4 run to win their seventh straight game. Sasha Kaun added
11 points and nine rebounds for Kansas.

The Jayhawks had won their last six games by an average of 28.8
points and appeared headed for another easy victory before the
Sooners (15-13, 6-9) deployed a trapping defense in the second
half. Oklahoma tied at 51-51, but never took the lead.

Nate Carter scored 20 points to lead Oklahoma, and Taylor
Griffin added 12 points.

Maryland @ #14 Dook tomorrow on ESPN. Maryland can become a lock with a win. Hopefully we see a lot of this.

Top 3 Conf.

ACC-UNC wins, why? how can you go 10 deep and not win the ACC?
SEC-UK wins, why? becasue they will end up playing Florida for it all and they won't lose to a SEC foe for the 5th straight ever. TO much tradition
Pac-10-UCLA wins, why? 2 letters..PG Collison is the best in the west and you better believe it.

Final 4,
-Florida
-Kansas
-UNC
-Georgetown

Winner
UNC wins a runner with florida panting down the stretch.

Balls...i like the SEC pick and hope it does happen but UK plays Florida this Sunday too. They'd have to beat them twice in like a weeks time in they played again in the final and i'm not sure they could pull that off. In the old days, no problem...but with tubby around i dont see Kentucky doing much of anything in the sec tourney or the ncaa...

Georgetown IS NOT a final four team. You shut down Hibbert and Green is off, they're in for a loss. Syracuse 2-3 did the job for that.

Memphis is riding a very quiet 17 game win streak...if they win C-USA tourney they'll have 22 straight going into the NCAA tourney. They might be young, and they might not play in a very tough conference but 17 games is 17 games. Kinda reminds me of Toledo Christian, not a strong conference but doesn't lose a lot of games...lets how these schools hold up in their tourneys.

G-town had a emotional letdown and should not have lost to the Cuse'. Look at MSU, they lost to Michigan after beating some great teams...emotional letdown.

It was not that. Hibbert got shut down and Green couldn't shoot the ball.

i understand Nietzel was sick during the MSU/UM game, that could have affected things...but UM has the potential to play well at times.

I really think a Texas team will make some noise. A&M and Texas went to double OT before Texas pulled it out 98-96...

I think Maryland is pretty much a lock now. (at least I hope) I think if Syracuse wins Saturday or at least has a good run in the big east tournament they're in.

Kinda disappointed not much talk about the buckeyes, i think they stand a chance to go pretty far in the tournament. With a great Freshman class lead by Oden, and some good senior leadership.

HM i'm also dissapointed not much talk about Ohio State! Did anybody see who is on the cover of this weeks Sports Illustrated them Old buckeyes again....I can see them going pretty far this year not winning it all though! If they dont' look for Oden to stay for another full year because Durant will be the #1 pick in the NBA this year!
