his behavior has been inappropriate and childish, to predict domestic violence is a stretch

Carp was already drawing the ire of the new administration
He knew he was being watched and still couldn't control himself
If it wasn't now, it was going to be eventually
He's a good coach....He will get hired somewhere. Hopefully he will consider growing up.

Our society has become such a joke to where parents now think they have the right to complain and whine about any little incident that occurs or want a coach fired because their kid isnt getting enough playing time.
I am not condoning all of Carp's actions but some people on here and in the community are simply out to get him. I dont deny that he was on a "last chance" type watch from the school but this specific incident should not have warranted any reaction from fans, parents, community, or school.

Recall that there were people defending Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson prior to the barrage of evidence showing how bad their actions were. Pictures and video sure change things.
Simply stating that something happened doesn't prove it either way, so unless I see it or hear from someone who saw it, I am assuming it was quite a bit more than a celebration slap to warrant such a reaction.
More to the point, I feel as if there is some victim blaming going on, towards the player and the fans, for the coaches punishment, and in my opinion that is not the right direction to take.

I'd take an 0-15 season every year over having the likes of carp or cooper coaching my program. At least I could say they tried and had some pride and dignity in going winless instead of being assaulted and humiliated by some assinine clowns writing checks their body can't cash

I was thinking that same thing. Watch how many kids get the smacked really hard on the helmet after a good play, a touchdown, or something like that. Do the parents or kids complain about that? I don't think that they have, I would think that could cause more "damage". This instance is a culmination of many factors that led to his demise.
MMA fighters practice kneeing people in the face so it should be ok to do it at the local bar right?

As for the slap on the helmet, if it was a tap, ok. But if he actually swung at him, that's different. There are a number of things that can happen if you're punched hard when you're not expecting it in the slightest, even if you're wearing a helmet.
