Heard today that Carpenter 'acted out' Yet again. This incident happened last Friday night he had smacked a kid across the helmet pretty good and the kids parents weren't too happy about it. Carpenter has since been suspended from the football program For two weeks and is to have no contact with any players or coaches. How many more times is this school system going to allow the head coach of your football program continually provide these childish actions with minimal discipline. Its obvious he hasn't learned from the past 3 incidents he's been involved in.

Elida is a dumpster fire right now............Diglia allowed this to become the problem it is. I wouldn't expect anyone from the EHS Administration to do anything more...it it, what it is......zooom

I'd think with some new administrators in place at Elida that they would take this opportunity to make sure that there will be a change at least for next season if not sooner.

Not defending what he did, but did he break his hand in the process? The future of H.S. football is in trouble given the ever increasing level of political correctness, parent activism, and focus on concussions.

Amen..... Not saying Carpenter is in the right but I agree, it's football, parents need to go back to letting the kids play and coaches coach. His other bone head moves from the past are cornering the administration, they won't have a choice now....I saw it and from my view it was a classic get your head outta your "blank"

I totally get it. A smack over the head may be a little ticky tacky. But his priors of kicking a student in the junk, roundhouse kicking a kid over the head, and jumping on a student in class who happened to be the same kid he smacked over the head last week. Its cumulative childish actions. The school administration is as much at fault because they continually let it slide.

It's continually becoming difficult to have any positions of authority these days. You let the kids run the show and it's caos, you come down hard and use some discipline and you get canned. Same with police officers, teachers, principals and superintendents. Parents have lawyers on speed dial, schools don't want to get into court so it's bend over backwards for little Johnny. The good programs can withstand it because they win, the first sign of losing and it's wholesale changes. Didn't coaches use to be teachers and part of the "education" was learning to work together, win or lose?

It was reported today he has a 2 game suspension and will resign at end of the season so he essentially has 2 games left as Elida coach.

I'd agree except for the fact that carp is a tard and continually gets in trouble for more or less assaulting people under the age of 18. There is a difference between discipline and needless negative reinforcement.

Back in the late sixties I saw a head coach at practice hit a kid on the helmet so hard it knocked the helmet off and the chin strap didn't even come come loose. Different days . Salt tabs and all.

He's a good coach....He will get hired somewhere. Hopefully he will consider growing up.
