I know not every team reports their scores to the state record book, but 24-0 would tie the most teams goals scored in a game (according to online OHSAA record book http://www.ohsaa.org...sorecrd.htm#TSG ). Xenia (2000) & Findlay (2001) were the other two.

Other local lopsided scores in recent past are (off the top of my head & then checked OSSCA for score confirmation):
Allen East 18-0 Convoy Crestview (2015)
Cory-Rawson 21-0 Convoy Crestview (2015: with a note saying CR played the second half 9 v 11).
Lima Bath 20-0 Van Wert (2014)

Also, I'm NOT saying these were necessary, but scores like this aren't that far off or uncommon in the major cities where good teams play horrible teams, due to proximity. Most of the time, a team will play its JV members & still put up high scores. I really only have an issue if teams leave starters in for most of the game to get stats, however, if a 3rd-string player scores 2-3 goals against a bad team, so be it. However, I have no idea which players scored for the teams above.

It's been briefly discussed on the boys thread before with Mifflin (Columbus) in 2013 http://rocketcorner....showtopic=22317 , http://rocketcorner....showtopic=22314

In the 2014 girls soccer state tournament (which is based primarily on location), there were 32 games between the three divisions where the score difference was 10+ goals. Div 2 & 3 each had 13 instances.
The largest score differentials were:
Div. 2 — (2-seed) Eastwood 24-0 Tol. Rodgers (10-seed).
Div. 1 — (2-seed) Bishop Hartley 20-0 River Valley (18-seed).
Other 30 matches were between 10-15 differences.

Mansfield Christian boys last year routinely beat teams 16,17,18-0 with most starters playing nearly the full game I'm told

Is Clyde a girl soccer powerhouse? if not, waite should either get it together, play a JV schedule only or drop girls soccer.

Clyde is not a power by any means. They've been very much down themselves for some time now (when this was scheduled), but are currently 5-5 this year with a new coach.
Not sugar-coating it, Waite is bad & has been, however, I don't think they should drop soccer entirely. If they still have players wanting to field a team, let them participate. Could they play a JV schedule to "build" the program or play competitively? Absolutely. I'm not sure if they have a conference-bylaw or anything that prevents that, but it would help.

Hopefully they continue to play this way and someone gets a torn ACL.

There's a lot of teams that should be dropped in the area. A lot of bad soccer going on.

I agree and would like to add that the team should pay all the bills for the program. I'm sure the 15 people who show up to watch them doesn't pay for the practice balls let alone the officials.

 Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...
1. Never wish injury on any KID.
2. You're right. Programs can never improve & those kids don't deserve the opportunity to play structured soccer. :wallbash:
3. Excluding football and some basketball, no sports cover costs.

Tig, routinely? Their first two tournament games v Tiffin Calvert and Ada were 16-0 and 18-0 which yeah were shameful esp if starters were left in past half....other than that 10-0 which is commonly accepted was their top on the season. I guess I need to look up routinely.

Scores can be found at ossca.org.
