It won't be the last time dc leaves you scratching your head with his cryptic posts (although that one seemed fairly apparent). He's legendary for them.

You are right again my friend Jockster......and in a earlier post you mentioned how successful Bertke was......if he was still coaching, Shawnee would still be winning!!!!!

I'm not sure what the State of Ohio has to do with it. For athletic eligibility the OHSAA says you must declare a residence. No shared parenting or dual residency when it comes to the OHSAA. That would be a disaster for the OHSAA. I will say you maybe right on the shared parenting as far as the vouchers go.

You're absolutely right. For him to receive voucher money he needed to live the Lima School District. And if he lived in the Lima School District he should not be eligible for basketball. However, Quincy claimed he lived with his mother last year who resided in the Elida School District which would make him eligible for basketball.. If that is case one of two things happened, he either accepted illegal voucher money or lied on where he lived. You can not get voucher money and live in the Elida School District.

Live in Elida - Illegal voucher money
Live in Lima - Ineligible for baskeball

Which is it?

If X got a voucher(I'm not sure if he did) he could have lived with his Mother in Elida, Q lived in Lima. When his mother moved into the city he was able to qualify for one of the OHSAA exceptions to the sitting out 11 games when transferring rule

Even the best teams take some time to get on the same page. Spartans will be OK.

well, the picture is coming a little more in focus....last night at Bandito's in Lima we ran into an old buddy of
mine who mentioned something along the same lines. He also mentioned that the OHSAA might be looking into the
certain living arrangements of last season..Which brought up another scenario that we thought about....IF this is
an issue that the OHSAA is looking into, would LCC's 2014 state championship be forfeited much like Africentric's a few years back?......this story isn't going away just quite yet and if Dr. Jerry Snodgrass (well, he really isn't
a doctor yet) continues to dig just what might they find?......

In another story, has anyone noticed the number of current AAU coaches from around the state who have been attending
Spartan home games?....the next time they show highlights on TV pay particular attention to some of the gentlemen
sitting about 2 rows up behind the bench.....I noticed them last week and one looks like he has a jacket on that
clearly looks like a Nike jacket with a Columbus area AAU affiliation......I only mention this because I had
predicted this was going to happen when others around the state came to the realization of what was possible.....

I've learned something today. Because someone wears Nike jacket and they sit a few rows behind LSH bench, that means their either affiliated with AAU or they're there to steal players or they're there bc of WHAT????? Wow RM.....U truly are searching under EVERY pebble HOPING to find dirt on Lima. Amazing.....(truly sad how some folk are).
