RM doesn't know facts bc Wilson has to sit 11. So let the hatred begin. Lima AAU? Ha ha. Amazing ALL the kids started in Lima city schools and now their ALL back folks are upset. Typical. I'll say it again, let the hatred begin.

you can claim they used a loophole all you want to, but the governing body (OSHAA) says X and Elijah play from day 1, Wilson after 11 games. complain if you wish but at some point it just sounds like hating.
all these kids have Lima roots and they are coming back to play for someone they trust. I see no problem with that.

yea, haven't figured that one out either.....and it's great that the three moms could all get
together in the off-season and see fit to move into the LCS system.....I like the new rules the
OHSAA has instituted to eliminate all these issues...lol

That's funny, a dead issue because it favors your school and team. You need to have one address, either he lived with mom in Elida or dad in Lima. They either cheated the voucher or the transfer rules or both. If this was happening and he was going to LCC this would blow up into recruiting and LCC cheating and much worse. I am all about X and him playing for his kin, but do it the right way.
Also Mystery man, you must have a mystery "major sport" hidden somewhere because being good for a year at football and having a better team in basketball only equals 2 sports. Don't see baseball being a winning team anytime soon???

Did you see the # of kids who made it to the state track meets that were from LSH? Football was good last year (5-5 off of a terrible prior seasons). They'll be better next year.....lots of underclassmen. Basketball wasn't as bad as people made it. The talent was there. But when you have coaches only concerned about the playing time for their kids, it sends a bad taste in other kids mouths. And as far as LCC goes, let's be clear about this: THEY DO RECRUIT. Their a private-based school so their "basically" allowed to. The shouldn't be recruiting kids for "sports" purposes but C'mon now. I'm for ALL the lima area schools but you guys are coming down on Lima Sr all bc of hate for the school, jealously of the coach and seeing these kids do something positive is taking away from the light of your school and your kids. Once you learn to have some equality about yourself then everything you guys say won't always be so negative. Go Lima, Go Elida, Go Perry, Go Bath, Go Shawnee, Go LCC, Go OG of course too.

I'm not down on Lima Senior at all. I am not jealous of any of their coaches as LCC has great coaches all around. I hope all those schools do well also, it would be great to see multiple teams competing for state tournaments.
It's just funny that Zell will say LCC cheats recruits and everything else, yet he then says they have done the same by saying a kid lived in Elida and was on the voucher and has now moved I to the city and is able to play right away. Doesn't add up because to have the voucher you must live within the city limits

The eligibility of X is a "dead issue" because the OHSAA allowed the exception to transfer without having to sit out 11 games NOT because it happens to favor Lima Senior.
OHSAA made the decision based on the information they requested from Lima Senior.
I do not see the issue here, is it because he will be able to play from game number one? Do you want to punish X? Punish Lima Senior? Is LCC leading this push to question allowing X to transfer? They would be the one that has lost the most with him leaving. I can tell you that the AD is not. What are people trying to gain from putting this out there and trying to make it an issue?

On that much we CAN agree on....and that is the crux of the matter. AAU has destroyed Ohio HS
athletics in the way it is supposed to be.....this is the reason you are seeing all of these
other "AAU-types" at the Lima Senior basketball games this year. They are taking notes on how
this is being done, so that they can take it back to Cincy, Columbus, Cleveland, etc. and weave
this into the way their AAU and high programs are run.....Ted Ginn Sr. was probably the first in
Ohio to figure it out. Then Dambrot at ASVSM....there have been others to be sure.....North College
Hill, Cincy Taft, and NOW Lima Sr.....maybe I should be glad that the locals are just now figuring
out the insane OHSAA rules....maybe it is time that LSH gets their fair share. Just call me old-school
about high school athletics. It wasn't or shouldn't be meant to be this way. Agree or disagree, I
feel that the OHSAA is completely at fault, but no one is willing to put up a fight....If things keep
going this way, (and I think they will) it will mean the end of high school athletics as I knew it.
Maybe the younger crowd is all fine with this and I'm just a grumpy old man....RM

I don't think there is any push to questioning X's eligibility. If there is, it certainly isn't being "led" by LCC people. The general sentiment in the LCC community, from what I can tell, is happiness for LSH. LSH doing well in sports is good for the school, and a successful LSH is good for the community.
What I have a problem with is people like mysteryman saying stuff like "Watch how many kids now have better grades, now get a chance to experience college life and GRADUATE high school bc of what Quincy brings to the table. How can anyone be mad at that." (post #39). He's the same guy that cries foul when kids leave the "failing" Lima city school system on a voucher and attend LCC - where they undoubtedly have had better academic success, are more likely to graduate, and have a better chance to experience college life.
Also, why are assuming in this thread that X was on a voucher? I didn't think he was a voucher student. He came to St. Charles in middle school, and I don't believe he was at a Lima city school immediately prior to transferring?
