Bigdogg79........

You have been a hater of DSJ and LCC for years.......give it up......oh, I always love it when people like you come up with the...."public schools have to take everybody...even the handicapped, hoods, criminals, and any other desription of a bad kid that you feel like saying".........how do you handle real life situations when things don't go your way.....do you get mad because you feel cheated or do you buckle up the chin strap and move on to better things.......just curious!!!!!

So you think I am mad about it? Why, I don't have kids who play and I don't follow any particular high school team. I just call it as i see it. I don't hate any private school, I have always said most privates schools themselves operate within the current rules. The rules are not equitable to start with.

97, '98, '99, '05, '08, '10 Division VI State Champions And how many game win streak? Are you trying to say that Jefferson's sports programs has been DSJ's equal over the past 35 years? You must be joking.

Ohio High School Athletic Association state championships Delphos St. Johns
Ohio High School Athletic Association state championships Delphos Jefferson

State Championships
1931 Baseball State Championship
It was your wording of Jefferson's "lack" of success, not mine. I simply proved that Jefferson does not have a lack of success in football. Jefferson was a football power back in the 80s and their run ended. DSJ has had a great streak since the mid-90s thanks to amazing coaching, dedication from the players, and dedication from the families of the players. They have a great system in place.

I don't see you moaning and whining about how much better Minster is at sports than New Bremen, and those two towns literally touch. Look at bow dominant Minster has been in girls cross country. That school actually has more state championships than any school in the MAC, but since they're not public you make no point to bring up their success compared to the town that is basically the same town.

I could see your argument about parochial schools in huge cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, etc. having a large advantage over public schools, but I fail to see how public schools in the smaller divisions which come from rural areas have any advantage over public schools of the same nature.

How many big bad private schools has Marion Local beat out the last 4 years, or even before that? How many has Coldwater beat? How many fellow parochial schools that you claim have SUCH an advantage over other publics been destroyed by DSJ? Have you ever stopped to think that the talent, dedication and coaching at DSJ plays a huge role in their success in sports, football in particular?

Help refresh my memory. Are you saying shadyside's assistant coaches made comments about private schools before the game or after? My recollection had an assistant not even the head coach making one comment to their local paper following a very embarrassing lose, which i took as a poor effort at making an excuse for the 77-7 score. Is it that or was your coach running up the score because he didnt like comments made during the week. Makes you wonder if their is any truth to it if four years later you guys are still mad.

The person was Coach Boehner, or something like that with the quote sounding like "They'll be back with whoever they choose to play for them." I cannot find the article.

There was no running up the score in that game and anyone here that watched it can tell you that. I don't think anyone's mad either, Jays fans especially.

Like the sun rising in the East, another year will pass and unfulfilled dreams died in the land of Shadyside. Good luck to Trimble who has come from behind 2 years running and dispatched the vaunted Tigers. Who and what will get the blame for this year's loss?

1. The weather
2. Our cheerleaders didn't cheer hard enough
3. DSJ still recruits
4. The refs were horrible
5. The ball was flat
6. Our top RB had the flu

It is going to be enjoyable watching the arrogance of a few dsj posters by wiped away by the future that awaits them.

What about DSJ? DSJ will be rebuilding still next year, but look out the year after that. If ML is in DVI, I like our chances for (hopefully) title #7. That class is very talented!

No arrogance against good teams and fans that support them in a civilized manner with no excuses or blame for a loss. I am truly happy that Grove has done so well this year. Their players will remember this run for a lifetime.

Shadyside has 16 state tournament appearances and have a record of 29-16 in the tournament. There are many teams including from the MAC that would be very happy to be able to say that. To continue to bang on them makes you look stupid.

A lot of NW Ohio teams would have similar success if they had the path Shadyside usually had to take. The quality of football certainly isn't the same.
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

Some people say the same thing about the Big Ten. Which teams do you think are better than Shaddyside that don't make the playoffs? Plug them into calpreps against Shadyside and you might be surprised

DSJ won 2 games in the MAC against teams that went 0-10 and 1-9. Shadyside could maybe beat DSJ and they would for sure beat New Bremen and Parkway. If you can count correctly, that's 2 or 3 :)
