This thread has certainly run the gamut..........recruiting, meth labs and some analysis concerning the Delphos St. John's- Arlington football game.

This BlueJay team is is a DSJ team in name only. They have been shutout in 4 of their past 5 games. If Arlington is going to get a win over Delphos SJ this is the year. I say Arlington 28-20.

As I am getting ready to leave to watch my son play in perhaps his last football game, I felt I needed to respond to this. I understand what you are trying to say in terms of talent, but since I have had another son and several nephews play on previous and more successful DSJ teams, I just have to respond to this. This Blue Jay team is just as much a DSJ team as previous ones. They work just as hard - and perhaps harder, than previous teams. They have built a comradery with their teammates (from Kindergarten through high school) just like previous teams. In fact, their comradery may be stronger as they have developed skills in offering encouragement and not giving up when the chips are down. They are well disciplined and receive excellent guidance from the coaches and on more than just football. Speaking on behalf of the parents, I can assure you we are just as proud of our sons as previous DSJ parents. And when they graduate and move on in life, they will have the benefit of playing a team sport just like prvious DSJ teams, which will assist them to live their lives as responsible, successful husbands, fathers and men.

So good luck to both teams tonight. Play hard, stay safe and have fun!

Go Jays!

21-0 Red Devils ! Delphos offense struggles to score against quality defense. You have to kick them while they're down because when they get up their will be hell to pay !

Red devils dominated 1st half. DSJ has no answer for Austin Rettig who has to be on pace to get 300+ yards on the ground. 14-0 at half Red Devils but the score is not reflective of the statistical advantage Arlington has. Let's see what the 2nd half brings. Go Devils!

I agree PostPlayer. It does not help that the DSJ offense cannot get anything going. As I said before, our line is just fine but our quarterback struggles with making good decisions. Congrats to the Red Devils. I expect you guys to win this region rather easily

Also it's nice to see the kids not let any emotions get the best of them. Although the game was pretty much decided by mid-3rd quarter, the players continued to pat each other on the helmet and help each other up. You don't see that in a lot of playoff games!

Congrats the Red Devils and good luck next week!

It wasn't as bad as it looked. The Arlington kid went to stopped and barely hit the kid and he flopped.
