When you look at the division and region they are in football, you would think they would wake up and take a clue.... I know bash me make yourselves feel better, but they play a jv schedule compared to the teams in that region. O-g could possible finish 8-2 and miss the playoffs and L-B wouldn't come within 3 tds of them. Coldwater same. I've watched both brands of ball compared them and it's not even close. That's why I said good luck to you blue tiger cause in reality you have not a clue.

Here we go:

http://thecourier.co...-to-the-editor/

The second letter, of course.....

People seriously need to have a freaking clue. It's all fun a games to put a sign up but not fun and games to rip it down. HAHAHAHAHA

Lets stick to the facts of the game. Great game.......... well coached..........great athletes.

As far as Coldwater, the MAC, and others in the division of LB or Arl. The teams are good teams but we all know that when you get farther and farther in playoffs it's only a matter of time before the definition of good changes. Also, there is so much put on making and going far in playoffs and I think it is to much. I had a GREAT coach (who won multiple conference titles and one state title) tell me that playoffs shouldn't mean as much to a team as a conference title. "Play to win your conference," is what he told me. Sure it is nice to maybe make it to state and win a state title but unless your part of a small group, how many get multiple chances to do so? Most of the time it takes more than just being great.

Don't knock the sign, if you're not ready to acknowledge the immaturity of tearing it down...
and conversely don't make a belittling sign and then get upset about it getting "torn up"
Just like Cropduster's comment about a-town fan's signing a cow or whatever , but overlooking the 'LOST or Stolen Pride sign that they themselves placed at their own stadium gate

I will happily debate with you which running back was better, which defense was more stout,
Hell I'll even debate who has the best looking cheerleaders..

but I WILL NOT DEBATE WHICH BVC TEAMS HAVE THE CLASSIEST FANS...

"FAN" short for Fanatical...

"Classy Fan" is an Oxymoron

"tallest midget"
"healthiest donut"
"fastest fat kid"
"smartest retard"

Definition of FAN
1
: an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport or a performing art) usually as a spectator\
2
: an ardent admirer or enthusiast (as of a celebrity or a pursuit) <science-fiction fans>

Origin of FAN
probably short for fanatic

I am 5 years removed from LB but I still enjoy reading the same crap year after year on Rocket. Saw LB get throttled year after year in football and REALLY enjoyed the many years of payback. Not to the kids from the schools, but let's say to the supporters who hate LB. When it mattered the most for me was 2005 through 2008 when I had someone close to me playing football in high school.

And 2008 especially when we finally got over the hump against Patrick Henry and the spanking we put on Marion Local. Won't talk about the state championship game, still hurts. LOL

Anyway, For the LB haters, continue to bad mouthed LB as much as you want. LB was a GREAT place for my kids to go to school for all the right reasons especially getting them ready for college and life. I miss my LB friends who all are not perfect, but many who are good parents and people.

Once a Eagle always a Eagle!

So if LB had about 3 less kids and were in D6 (Which is exactly what the numbers are) would we be having this conversation?

In response to the letter to the editor - I know very few true Arlington fans that wish LB would exit the league. LB brings many things to our league, including a good gate to get rid of them. If they left, what we really have left? I say - keep them. You don't beat them often, but when you do it is a great feeling :). BTW - I thought the LB v Arlington game was an absolute classic - two big, strong, physical teams beating each other up.

It will be interesting to see how long the volley of letters go back and forth in the Courier.

almost as classy as the sign entering into Polar Bear Field that said "Not responsible for Lost or Stolen Pride".... I guess that sign got "lost" over the past few years...

No pride nights are fairly common in north Hardin county.

I just love how in the letter it said how LB should play Findlay or Toledo teams lol.... I would bet my paycheck that if there was a league formed with competitive teams from around the area (Including Arlington, McComb, Leipsic, VB), LB would be the first to jump ship from the BVC with no hesitation. So to the haters, don't think that LB is sticking around b/c they want to. It was already in the works to start a new league, but fell through this past year. As I said, LB is about 3 boys away from being D6 and I have a feeling that in the next few years they will be (Not that it will stop the chatter).

Hopefully no one takes the bait. As I recall, the last time someone got the urge to gripe about LB to the Courier nobody bothered. This last one made the hemp guy look like Einstein...

That's why instead of whining about how tough we have it moving up to D5, most people have accepted it and take the attitude that we have to get better to compete against teams like OG. Maybe you should try it for a change.
