Harry we can only hope they come to your house afterwards ! You are a total jack ass, talking trash about a kid who made a mistake one time !

From my understanding he has made more than one mistake in the past. Reason being McComb and Liberty-Benton both didn't accept his enrollment. I guess his third attempt at attending a school worked out and he landed in Arlington. And for calling someone a total jack ass on a public form is just as classy! No need for this how about we get back to the game and talk about the 11 players on the field as one player will not decide the outcome of this game.

At this point I don't think this game will come down to the numbers from previous games or opponents each school has played. We can compare stats all day and difficulty of schedule, etc. but when the whistle blows on Friday night all of that will go out the window.

I would say this game has been dissected enough when we start comparing HS kickers... :coffee:

You may be correct Post, but I do remember two games in this series where a missed xpt by Arlington impacted the game. 2002 and 2010. Thank goodness the botch went LB's way and kept the current win streak alive at 12 straight wins.

I guess the big concern in the game if you throw out the stats is whether LB's kids will stay focused enough to avenge the 2001 loss to Arlington.

Be fair, if he was playing for LB, someone would have made the same comment.

Yes, he deserves a second chance, and from what I'm hearing, he's doing good. But, when you do something like that, then you're going to leave yourself open to gabs. Something to think about before you act.

Isn't BJ Lawson for LB a "transfer"?

BlueTiger, awesome job on the stats...
Out of all of them the biggest difference I see is in the penalty yards... (LB = 142 ARL=379)

Those types of mistake are true drive killers. Boys in red will have to show discipline this week or it may cause them trouble.

Lawson is open enrolled from Fostoria and Combs has been going to LB since Junior High (From Van Buren). Also, Lawson didn't even play football until last year so to consider him a "Transfer" in that sense would be totally wrong.

So Lawson and possibly Combs and I forgot about Jake Nichols, who are transfers... Not a bad recruiting class :) just kidding,

Even so Fuller Lives in the district, has paperwork testifying to such... and has a little number "3" football sign on a house outside of town.

Others, can climb down off the highhorse of making it sound like LB or McComb wouldn't stoop to allowing him to come there like Arlington did. First we have no choice as a move in, (don't get me wrong glad he's here). Second no one from Mccomb has any right to say anything about transfers either between Skilliter and hiring Jerry Tarkanian as a volleyball coach.

and Last

Yes Harry... A-town Seniors heading to BG for class trip, with a scheduled stop in Mccomb to learn how to obtain free libations with only a brick and the cover of darkness...

Nice job Bluetiger on the stats recap. The game looks like a toss up but I think Arlington will come out on top. Always go with the home team. If I weren't going to OG I would be heading east to watch this one.

Totally agree, people need to drop the whole "Recruiting" topic. I highly doubt in these instances that the coaches are making trips to a kids home and asking him to come play for them. If it were illegal to have a kid open enroll or move into the district then we would cross that bridge, but it's not and it's part of HS Sports. Looking forward to a great game/atmosphere.

shotgun....

How about the tall Defensive end. Where does he live?

Or does it not matter for a marginal contributor? :)
