HS basketball has very little effect on recruiting. AAU is king when it comes to exposure for D 1 basketball. A player should play HS basketball where he wants to with his friends [Family:)] because it will be the last time its truly for fun. The business of basketball controls college basketball and the lives of those players. X will end up in one of the 5 power conferences.

i do believe that both kids were originally in LCS before attending LCC but decided to come back mostly because of baseball.

If your referring to christoff and barker going to LSH for baseball you are sadly mistaken, barker didn't even play baseball. And they went through Lima catholic school throughout until 12th grade

For what it is worth...X just tweeted he is proud to go to Lima Senior next year.
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

God, Frankie's gotta be sick. Just 3 months ago he was sitting on top of the basketball world,
today he got curbstomped...We will find out soon enough how quickly he is able to overcome the
talent dropoff sure to come. The folks on Cable Rd. will now also find out soon enough whether he
can coach the X's and O's that will be necessary for him to win now that his field general has went
over to the other side.

How many others that follow will be the telling......if they all go, then all the past posturing about
the academic side of things will be de-bunked..(if they haven't already)
we'll be following this one a lot closer now that the "DECISION" has been made....just glad that X
didn't do as LeBron did and kick LCC fans any harder in the stomach than to make the announcement on one
of the local radio shows........RM

Per Kurt Stubbs II

"Tre Cobbs (2016) and Dantez Walton (2016) will be staying at Lima CC according to a close source. Great opportunity for those 2 to shine."

Congrats and good choice by Xavier. That said, I highly doubt they make it to regional final.

If Cobbs AND Walton stay at LCC they will still be contenders to GET TO State tournament next season..Losing Kimbrough will be tough to replace,Losing Simpson will be IMPOSSIBLE to replace..Still wouldn't be surprised if Cobbs followed to Senior High though..

I would love to see Cobbs come to Lima Sr. but fully understand why he wouldn't. Great chance to make a name for himself but I 'm sure everyone knows about him already.

Cobbs needs to learn how to play PG.. More explosive quickness wise than X,but knowing how to run a team (especially understanding that a PG passes the ball)not even in the same stratosphere as X..

this is all AAU-type posturing IMO.....the AAU season is hitting full stride with only
about 3 weeks to go until it ends....not sure where the boyz to men are playing their
next few tournaments but there is still plenty of time for Q to add a few more ingredients
to the Lima Sr. package for next year.....where they all come from is anyone's guess right
now......have it on pretty good authority that he has been approached by all types of AAU
coaches about what/how he is going to assemble his teams.....will he go the ASVSM route,
the North College Hill way, maybe the old CAPE caper, or take a page out of the Mooney playbook..
However it's done I'm sure the OHSAA will be watching closely...(NOT!)....this could actually hasten
the demise of the OHSAA and high school sports as we know it...15-20 All Star teams from throughout
the state (similar to AAU) and then the rest playing intramural-type scenarios....

I do know that the LSH ticket office is open now for the summer to accommodate the influx of new season
ticket holders....but I would like to caution a few of you who have been accustomed to your past seats being in the "prime" areas.....this will change this year as a special section is being added behind the bench approximately 20 seats wide by 5 rows deep.....this will be designated for visiting AAU coaches and their ilk......also for the additional college recruiters who will be in attendance, and
which there should be a lot....RM

Assuming LSH has a 22 game schedule, who is game 12 against for the transfers debut.

Gotta think that their schedule is changing daily. I'm guessing more than a couple teams will be upset that LSH calls them and says "sorry, we're too good for you now....thanks for allowing us and our 26 fans come to your gym over the years....but we don't need you anymore"
