Those are typically the strong teams, but there are some up and comers......lima senior should actually be strong this year.

In D3 I just don't see it in this area. I don't think there is a team that stands out more than anyone else. Should be pretty competitive and more balanced throughout this area.

Someone typically around the I-70/I-71 "corridor." Say, Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, or Cleveland areas.

Aren't they ALL competing for a state "Tirle" this year?

Technically yes. But to some the reality is very unlikely. A school in NW Ohio whether it be D2 or D3 may end up having one of their most talented/best teams the school has seen and may end up having a very nice tournament run. Until they get to the regionals/state and go up against them private schools or even public that focus on soccer year round that some schools around here do not have the time to do so. I think soccer is the hardest sport for any NW Ohio school to win state.

Not generally speaking for the Toledo/Findlay part of Ohio, but it's hard to find a quality club soccer program in the Midwest part of the state that competes on a National level. The only club I can think of is Grand Lake United and I don't know if West Central United even exists anymore? But these clubs are nowhere close to the competitive level as say Pacesetters which is out of Toledo. And if you have a kid that is a talented soccer player that goes to school (ex.) Lima Shawnee, he/she has a 2 hour to and from trip to Toledo.

So unless the Midwest part of the state builds a quality club program with quality coaches and players, this region will continue to struggle against other regions that have a high quality of club teams around said region.

Gview and see that is my point. That is 1 state title in this area in Divisions 2 and 3 since soccer became a high school sport. My take on this was that it's tougher to win state for this area in any other sport and that just proves it. By the way who was the one team that won state?
