You stated who you thought could play at what level disagreeing w/ Boulus and that was a crime? You weren't tearing down kids, just disagreeing with some guys list of where he had them going.
Somebody has to...

A great example would be effingA's participation in the team thread on this BASKETBALL forum where he says...
"All the great ones play multiple sports...period."
This opinion statement lacks logic and coherency on every level. One could point out Dakota Mathias, Xavier etc. to demonstrate the absurdity... Yet effingA and those who think like him wish to have their opinions treated the same as a well defended position opinion. You can opine that the sky is polka dot, it doesn't mean it is logical.
No doubt the "speak without thinking or researching" crowd take issue with me. But I am fine being dismissed like a Rick Bolus or a "twenty year old kid"... People who have actually demonstrated a history of logical success in their chosen endeavors.
You do have the right to any opinion. But you don't have the right to be taken seriously. You earn that right. Logic and coherency are the tools...

Well those two "know-nothings" PLUS the multiple DI coaching staffs who have offered scholarships to those players YOU labled DII. But I get your point... You think your opinion based upon...well nothing provided...should be treated the same as all of those...
Who could find any fault with that logic and coherency?

Nine-10 days later after being respectfully challenged for saying...

It is your serious desire to now pretend the discussion was about youth sports? Those college coaches were asking you if they could magically go back in their time machine to watch your high school athlete play T-ball? So if a kid played T-ball he fits your definition of "multisport" athlete in high school...?
I assumed, with good reason, that all parties knew "multisport" was referring to current high school participation. But if you want to pretend that T-ball qualifies... I will indeed concede that ALMOST all the great basketball players are "multisport" fluent.
By standard definition, the argument remains. I think logic and coherency demonstrated by your own words will indicate that 9-10 days ago you were talking about high school sports...and now have changed the argument.
On a side note I once bowled and played "pin the tail on the donkey." Can I get a "multisport" waiver too? :-D
FYI...I never said they ALL specialize to my recollection. I'm pretty sure I would have said MOST or ALMOST ALL...since that is the reality for high level basketball players circa 2014.
Edit to add...by high level...I'm talking about guys on that Bolus list type of player. The ones I am aware c of are ALL "basketball only" these days. But I don't know them ALL.
