The final sentence is true for all players that a guy like Bolus puts on his DI watch list. He has been doing this for years and understands that this time next year the offers typically get bigger...for all of them.
X is just so darn good that even a mid-high Big East level program like Xavier knows they better "get in early" to have a chance this time next year.

agree with everythign said here. I hate to do this cause I am not a what if guy but if X were to switch to the red an grey next year the buzz will be even bigger if they can make a run in the post season. These other schools just want to be at the party when it comes to these "big name" players and the more offers that come in more schools will get their bids in just to say they did it but i think we can all agree the current offers are not anywhere near the caliber he is capible of. X is better now than most of the guys that will end up at a Toledo type school out of this years graduating class.

Seeing you (Fligh Crew) have been wrong on every thought, fact, prediction, etc. you have contributed to this topic... No small feat in such a short amount of time ... I am sure the last thing he would want or need is your endorsement.
But he might be a bit concerned that you are trying to slip in that he is nowhere DI NOW. You originally said he was nowhere near DII.
I don't believe anybody needs to be reminded of the insightful words of an elightened man...
"Backtracking? I don't backtrack."
I will hold you to your original opinion where you weren't even sure he was DII...since you proudly refuse concession. At the appropriate time I will publish his offers along with the others...
And while we can't be certain how high the likes of Smith, Xavier, Bramlage et al will get with their offers... We can ALL be certain that you Flight Crew have proven to be the most clueless partcipant in this thread. Most with such stubborn inaptness know when to go away. But you are the gift of humor who has backed himself into untenble positions... Priceless...

Has the Smith kid been contacted yet?
If so by what schools please?

You're the one who called it a D1 watch list....
No Einstein...Rick Bolus...the guy who made the list that started this very thread listed his DI prospects. It would be his list not mine. The guy who's been doing this for over 30 years and has contact with almost every college coaching staff in the country... He listed Trey Smith as a DI prospect.
I would tell you to click on that link and ascertain the information yourself, but it is clear that your reading and comprehension skills are on par with your ability to identify basketball talent.
You do have uncanny abilities to step in ******* EVERY time you post on this topic. If there is a RC record for consecutive fatuity... You are high DI...

I would direct that question toward Rick Bolus. But I promise once I find out any and all information about any of these kids that they choose to make public...I will post it here. Smith is 2016. Most colleges are solidifying 2015 prospects right now, and some 2014 still. Only real high 2016 level players like X would be getting offers...as desribed upthread...this time of year. The vast majority of 2016 prospects are just getting "interests" at this time.
But since there is all the interest in Smith...I can give you this past week's PUBLIC twitter updates...
2016 Delphos Jefferson (Hidden Gems Black) SG Trey Smith exploded for 32 points, including seven 3pt FGs, in a win at OBBL this morning. @ZachFleerLGHL
Smith has 84 points in four games this weekend, including 15 3pt FGs. Was one of the top players in Northwest Ohio this year. @ZachFleerLGHL
I don't know where this kid ends up. He has a 4.0 so my hunch is basketball is not a necessity for him. I just opined that FlightCrew undervalued every kid on the Bolus list. This, in my opinion, includes the fact he thought Smith was probably not even DII. I suspect DII is a good fit...maybe low DI...? Rick Bolus seems to think he is DI and he is paid to be accurate.
Edit to add that I will PM you the list. He does not want it public at this time...

Speaking of reading comprehension, I undervalued all but Ahrens.
No way I hell that list is for D1 prospects.....Luke Fisher of Archbold and Colton Linkus of Tri Village are not D1.
While I'm at it....don't hold your breath on Luke Kennard....in way over his head...

FlightCrew....
You remind me of 'Jeffcat Bucki'.....you claim to have all the knowledge concerning high school athletes, but when confronted you can never back up your statements.........and to go on a website and belittle athletes after they have received some recognition makes no sense and also makes you look even worse.........all these athletes are just kids....yep, kids.....why not let them enjoy the kudos that someone like Rick Bolus is giving them.......I think it is pretty neat when any local athlete receives recognition....heaven knows they deserve it after all the work they put in!!!!!!!!!

Einstein strikes again...like a little puppet boy. The two guys you mentioned don't have that little star by their name. If you would take the time to read and comprehend...which has been established multiple times as a "no go" for you... YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT IS THE STAR THAT DENOTES DI PROSPECTS.
But you are correct that those two were not on a list as DI prospects. Bolus said as much. He just can't write the list at a low enough level for someone like you to understand.
But both are good players deserving recognition...

I see nothing on Mr Bolus's site that has any stars btw...
I stand by every one of my statements.
