....time will tell but I just have to wonder if the only things changing on Spartan Way is the names
of the coaches.....RM
AND if it does happen those OHSAA people will turn a blind ehas always been based ye once again so as not to face the
"competitive balance" issue again......
I differentiate between Div I and Div III. In that sense things are not the same. But your point is well taken. Not too much will be different... Still, for me, it is hard to build up the same vitriolic reaction to a Lima All-Star team playing a Columbus All-Star team versus a Lima All-Star team playing Allen East.
I will also guess that the typical Lima Senior fan will not pretend academics, superior work ethic, etc are the only explanations for hypothetical successes...assuming any of these real possible scenarios come true.
A lot of reactions toward LCC are simply based upon their fans' past attitudes. Whether fair, in good taste, etc...I'm guessing a typical reaction to any player movement from LCC to Senior will be..."GOOD...couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch." Their lack of humility during the good times, NWC years, etc...make them a very unsympathetic victim in any of these possible worst case prediction scenarios. Again, I'm not saying such a lack of sympathy is warranted...though an argument could be made it is... I am just commentating on my perception of how this plays out. I don't think anybody outside of the church faithful are going to lose an ounce of sleep over LCC losing an opportunity at another decade of DIV III basketball dominance.
If Div I Lima Senior is the benefactor of Div III LCC's talent hoard colapse...so be it. Seems like a step in a more fair and reasonable direction...to many...
The competative balance proposal was never going to affect Lima Senior anyhow...but the OHSAA can and will do nothing when and if the majority off these cases fall under the bona fide move clause.

This is precisely why I hope this stupid rule is challenged in court.

Not if Ron Williams is there they won't. Class guy who I get the impression isn't all that thrilled with all these guys transferring in anyway.

why would they go with a two-years out of coaching Davis when Brock Howe is sitting there in the wings...

I didn't say he'd be "two years out of coaching"......lol. I said the other day I can't see Q staying at LSH once X is in college....Davis coming on as an assistant solves that problem...and likely may eventually mean that LSH would get the coach they really wanted in the first place.

Q and Davis together would be interesting...but not likely. going from HC to assistant to a young fella in his first varsity HS gig may be tough for DD to swallow
