"Lima Senior has announced that Quincey Simpson will be recommended to the board as new boys basketball coach on Thursday evening"
Recommended and hired aren't the same thing.....close...but not a done deal
Any hiring OR firing has to be done by the board. The committee interviewed and recommends to the board and they will "officially hire the candidate.

You posted this on another thread in March:
Spartan Dome.... Davis is getting interviewed this week or next week. Ok maybe this week is a "sit down to talk" and the following weeks to come an interview. I cant tell you my source... but ohhh soooo trust me.

I guess I will let you know on Thursday after the board meeting. One thing my dad always told me, Never call someone out unless you can take the heat when you are wrong.
You obviously have a problem with Q and it has shown in your posts. I posted statistics on Davis that disputed others claims of what his success was at other schools. I have a feeling that you will be the first one to jump on him when he does anything, as you judge, incorrect during a game. Time will tell if he is the right coach, I feel like they interviewed all qualified and decided on Q.

Excited to see Q get a shot. If you look at almost every current top end player in and around Lima...almost all of them have had Quincy's fingerprints on them somewhere along the line. I hope, and believe it will, work out. Expectations are through the roof...including my own... Not sure how fair that is... But I'm certain Q knows what he has gotten himself into...

Question to everyone who follows the RC:
Since Coach Q has this All Star team of talent playing AAU ball throughout the good ol' U.S.A.
is there any chance that some of that talent finds its way to Lima for the winter basketball season also?
There have been some people on here over the years who might have alluded to the fact that the same person
who is bankrolling Q's teams is the same individual who started this whole mess in Ohio back in 2000...
Will LSH stoop to that level and bring 'em in from all over ala OJ Mayo, or will this just be a local team
that figures out all the X's and O's to win the old-fashioned way?......there are some pretty good athletes
on these AAU squads and it would sure be a shame if LSH did to their kids what LCC did to theirs the past
several years......in the end, this might be a great thing for LCC now that I think of it.....a lot of us
won't be able to lob hand grenades their way when the "R" word comes up.....the good old LCC names will now
again be able to play ball where their dads and grandfathers did before them.....face it, LCC was turning into
a Villa Angela St. Joseph, Cleveland Central Catholic, St. Peter Bedford Chanel-type of school......
oh, they have great academics (well Chanel did until closing their doors)and some mighty fine basketball teams
to boot.....time will tell but I just have to wonder if the only things changing on Spartan Way is the names
of the coaches.....RM
AND if it does happen those OHSAA people will turn a blind eye once again so as not to face the
"competitive balance" issue again......

This whole mess? SVSM and NCH were awesome to watch. They were great for HS basketball.

StV's asked to be in D1, so did NCH. With this competitive balance thing I don't think we'll see as much movement as you think.
