At Wynford, Coach Moyer called the offense. He has his visor on and looks like Steve Spurrier out there. He's a first class coach and a good person. Wynford put many a buttwhipping on the team I root for and he had every opportunity to run it up and always took his foot off the gas pedal and showed a great amount of sportsmanship. I look for Wapak football to do very good things under Coach Moyer's leadership. Good luck.

What kind of offense does he prefer? Wing-T?

The Owl - yes the Wing-T, but he will go shotgun wing-T and also some spread. He mixes it up, he won't be under center every play and he's not going to go spread the entire game. A good quarterback is key to his offense and Coach Moyer developed those at Wynford. They were very tough to defend.

I would think Morgan would be QB then. You want your best player at the QB position in that type of offense where you mix it up a lot. And he is their best player. He can throw or run and he's a good leader. Huffman has length and that can be used at WR.

Huffman isn't exactly Michael Vick either. To get your 11 best players on the field with best chance to succeed, Morgan at QB and Huffman at WR. The earlier poster said Moyer puts the ball in the QB's hands and lets him make plays. Which means they will take a pounding. Morgan played both ways and is more ready for that pounding. Don't get me wrong, I like Huffman a lot but just like Morgan better at QB.

DL- schoenline, Crawford,
LB- hall, Steinke, Henderson
DB- lauck, lotridge, Morgan,

May be more moving around. Moyer wants to run a 4-3 and has brought Mike Voll from bucyrus to run the D.

Don't know if you have seen Hall lately but he is turning into a man! Getting big and fast.I talked to his dad and said he is in the gym 6 days a week to get ready. They moved him up last year as a freshman and started on the jv. I think getting the experience at the end of the season would have given him some confidence going into this year. Qualifying for the state wrestling tournament proves he is a competitor in my opinion.

Can anyone even imagine the atmosphere when Wapak and that other team in Auglaize county play for the first time. If Moyer takes it to Frye he will be carried off the field. lol

Has anyone heard how lifting attendance has been for Wapak. Has Moyer come down and officially took the program over yet. The scary thing is alot of activity in St. Marys on that field lately and their lifting is ahead of ours right now I hate to say.

SM's lifting is really not ahead of ours, every single player 9-12 is there everyday.
