Hopefully someone can clarify this, but if Q would become the next coach at LSH, would he still be able to maintain the same level of involvement with his King James teams and other club teams? Perhaps this could be influential in his decision IF he would be offered the job.

I know Quincy Simpson wants to coach but i dont know if he wants to coach at LSH.
He been contacted by Huntington Prep about Xavier.
But Quincy has too many ties to all the lima kids and area kids.
So I cant see him moving Xavier right now.
LSH dragged Quincy name thru the mud to several people in the area.
So i cant see them asking him to caoch.
Doug Davis is probably the guy but it will be a bad choice because he cant relate nor get the best effort from those type of kids.
We all know Davis and Fell are BFF's also.
So thats whos going to coach there unless a major surprise happens nobody sees coming.
ANd thats a shame!!!

What would coach fell and coach davis being friends have to do with hiring a basketball coach? Coach davis's two trips to the regional final and style of play make him an attractive candidate not who he is buddies with. Can you give us examples of why he couldnt relate? Many of the players are the same guys that relate just fine to coach Fell.

Davis would be just what you had in Allen. And after 3-4 years of mediocrity or below they would be callin for his head just as they did for Allen.

Our info has conflicting reports.....I guess that Q
wants to apply but it might be tough if rejected again.
For that reason alone I tend to go this route.
If he had some assurances that he was "the man"
then I could see this happening....
I know playing 2nd fiddle does not interest him.
Making an application and expressing interest
are 2 different things......we know he'd like the job
but the thought of not getting the nod might not be
palatable.....

I made some calls/texts to my contacts in Lima, Q did apply this week.

He said he thought about it but didnt.
And i just asked him this last Night!!!

He has told some he has applied and some he hasnt.
I dont know if he will before deadline which is Friday.
But as of today his name isnt in the hat!!!

So if he's telling some ppl he has and others that he hasn't, how do you know what he's telling YOU is the truth?
Sounds like there's a 50/50 chance for anyone to have the correct answer.
