The Mr and I are celebrating 25 yrs next month. Due to work, we are going to celebrate with a trip later this year. So here's the problem.....where to go? Been to Aruba for the honeymoon, been all over Fla up and down the past 25 yrs. Where's a nice place to celebrate in Nov??

Princeville in Hawaii. We are going back in October and loved kauai island when we went for our honeymoon almost 13yrs ago. Still the least commercialized of the islands and some neat surroundings to see.

I'm assuming you mean Russia Ohio. Not that nice anymore since The Golden Lantern closed. It's still close enough to Versailles though that you could stay in the very nice Versailles Inn and eat at the 4-star restaurant there. Not much else going on there though.

Maui is incredible. We stayed at Kapalua on the course the PGA plays on. Didn't get to play it as we were on our honeymoon, but would have loved to. The Road to Hana, is 560 some turns and 30 some bridges through the rain forest that ends at a winery and the 7 sacred pools(natural spring water) moon light dinner cruises, heli-copter rides, lua's(sp) and a nice mall to souvinere shop are just some of the things we did. This was eight years ago and everything was fairly reasonably priced.(except for gas and groceries) Everything is very close and I think I only filled up once the week we were there.

Hawaii is cool. Vegas, too. Depends what you want to spend. Vegas will be cheaper. If you go that route, let me know. There's a game on facebook, MyVegas, where you play and win real Vegas rewards.
I haven't seen this reward available but this is the room we got, for free, last year. http://www.mirage.co...ower-suite.aspx 1,250 square foot suite. We also had free show tickets, free buffet passes, and free drinks at some upscale bars. Took some time to get the rewards but there were tricks (that they fixed on their end) that allowed us to rack up points quickly. You can google tips and hints to see some ways to do the same.

Makes the places we stay at look tame by comparison. Myrtle Beach, Outer Banks, Ocean City and some place in Tennessee that escapes my mind right now.

Reminds me of a discussion I had recently about places everybody but you have been to. My place was Gatlinburg. Never really have any desire to ever go there......

Hawaii would be a good choice. Vegas too if they don't run out of water before then.

No really!......Russia is a beautiful country.....they actually treat their tourists quite well
especially if you stay out of Moscow.....the American dollar is highly valued over there and the
exchange rate is quite good......Customs can be a pain, but not any worse than some places I've been...

besides, maybe you can find one of them 7' Russian boys who is looking for a good Catholic education

Not a hot spot, but if you do not like commercialism and big crowds, but you like baseball go visit Cooperstown, New York. Even if you are not a baseball fan the place is like traveling back into a time machine.

Also, if you like baseball, but want to find some other cool things to do visit Chicago or Baltimore during the summer......some cool history stuff in Baltimore.

As you can see I am not a lay on the beach and catch sun type of guy, I like to be active on my vacations. I lay around enough at home.

I'm active enough the rest of the year. Water lapping onto the beach or a mountain get away is good enough for me.

Allot of cheap vacation opportunities at Grand Lake St. Mary's. Captain Fry will take you on a 7 day cruise. While cruising, the FB staff will have endless meetings, the Captain will banish you to the back of the boat, and training will be required each morning at 6am. All for a small donation for stands at the turf field.Happy Sailing.
